Thanks to all the artists involved and everyone who came by the T-P Bliz-aard Art Sale flea market stall at @surplussydney over the weekend.

Good to see some familiar faces and meet some new ones. Thanks for the chats and support. Keen for it all again next year!

Big S/O @chinaheights for lending us their office to get everything over the line ahead of the fair 🖤

Last week, Atia Rahim (@atiarhm) sat down with Archy Obradović (@archy.zip), director of @schmickcontemporary, to discuss his curation of ‘Peace of a Park’ with works by Paige Labuda (@paigelabuda) Luca Blasonato (@lucaa__b) and Grace Harré (@graceharre).

The interview spans topics of finding peace and stillness in moments of chaos, the transitory third space phenomena that is the “park”, and his favourite parks found across the world. The exhibition is currently on show at Schmick Contemporary until the 3rd of October.

You can read through the full interview at fbi.radio.

Archy Obradović’s work ‘spiral 3’ for Stamp’s Impulse exhibition.

Archy sees the world as fragmented and sometimes heavy. Through his practice he draws from everyday experiences, which help navigate and locate himself.

This work holds a spiral symbol which he feels captures the life he lives and the world that swirls around him.

“It embodies my belief in nature’s cyclical rhythm, where the beginning and the end are one. It also draws upon the Ouroboros, the ancient Hermetic symbol of the snake eating its tail, representing the eternal, interconnected nature of everything”.

The next exhibition at @stampgallery_ Impulse, opens this Saturday 23 May from 6–8pm.

The exhibition explores the speed and certainty with which inner convictions are formed, at times challenging these instincts and at others embracing them. Bringing together a range of artists and works, Impulse considers intuition, desire, reaction and the emotional impulses that frame the way we move through the world.

The exhibition runs until 7 June.
