I rode the National 24 Hour Championship last week and I’ve strung some words together about it.
⏱️

5 weeks ago, I was asked ‘bullied’ by Mike Broadwith (a multiply National 24hr Champion and holder of the end-to-end record) if I’d ride the CTT 24hour National Championship.

Didn’t know what to expect or where I’d finish, holding the position wasn’t comfortable but managed a 55:43 which see me take 🥉

Time to knuckle down, get some aero boots and non winter slow tubs!

Was good to see old friends and racers, Thanks to the organisers and helpers especially the ladies on the refreshments.

And that’s a wrap!

My first season of cyclocross is finished as a 6year old and it’s been a huge learning curve whilst having fun, I’ve also met some great cycling friends along the way.

This photo is from the last race at the Team Champs hosted by @london_and_se_cross_league
A great venue with some tricky sand to negotiate.

Ended up finishing the season in 🥈 overall in the @eastkentcx and 6th in the London & S.east CX League.

Rain + wind + mud = proper cross conditions. @joepeake0 and @nancyifry headed north to @centralcxl and @contrabland and @andy_warr went south to @hernehillvelodrome for @london_and_se_cross_league. Huge congrats to @andy_warr for the result of the weekend - 2nd at HH in only his second cross race, just one step away from a win now 👊🏼
