A month ago we closed our very first show – wow! It’s hard to put into words how thankful we are for your belief, advocacy, and support for our work so far. Thank you, thank you, thank you. As we look back at Measure for Measure, we want to highlight the many ways our artists, mentors, donors, and audiences have made our work possible – and share a little of what the future holds for In Progress.

First, we need to talk about our phenomenal artists – our incredible cast and designers, and mentors who believed in our vision for this production and In Progress at large. Ten months ago, this group started as a dinner catch-up between two frustrated young artists, and now it has evolved into a community. And this community doesn’t end in the rehearsal room; it extends to every donor and audience member – your support was foundational to bringing this production from ideation to performance, and we don’t take that for granted.

Also, a huge thank you to the fantastic team at @themakersensemble !

This production was our first experiment in something bigger: a model for empowering, experimental theatermaking that champions and highlights the brilliancy of early-career artists and leaders. Now more than ever, creativity requires support, and our mission is to offer just that – through mentorship, fair compensation, and a diverse range of opportunities.

Measure for Measure was a dream, and we can’t wait to keep this dreaminess going.

To achieve that, we could really use your continued support. If you know someone who might want to get involved administratively, creatively, or mentor-ly, we’d love an introduction. Sharing our work with your circle goes a long way in helping us grow. Also, if you’re looking for your next opportunity (playwrights 😉😉), make sure to keep in touch.

And, last but not least, if you’re able to make a donation, you can find our Fractured Atlas page at the link in our bio.

Thank you for being with us in this first chapter of our work; we’re very excited to share what we’ve got in store. See you soon!

Love,
Juliana & Hayley
