FREEZING THE MOMENT. REVEALING THE MAGIC. What happens in a fraction of a second can create an extraordinary image. From split-second timing to precisely controlled lighting, action-freezing photography is about more than capturing movement. It’s about anticipating the moment, understanding the light, and making every detail count. But how do you actually create these images? Take a look at my latest Behind the Scenes video and discover the thinking, technique, and creative process behind the final frames. 🎬 Watch the BTS on YouTube — link below. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YXhXZejweXE&t=34s Beyond the Shot with Saaliya

One of my favorite challenges on set is working with talent in a short window of time. It pushes you to be a stronger director, an intentional shooter, and a better communicator. We were able to move through so many products and setups while tethered because the whole crew was prepared to set for the next shot after we got sign off on the shot. Excited to close this series out. A big thank you to the whole team on this once again! There’s something especially rewarding about seeing a headshot you created used in a client’s published work—and even more so when they take the time to share their appreciation. I'm grateful for the trust, the photo credit, and the opportunity to help tell a small part of a much bigger story. Be sure to get your headshots, branding, products, real estate, or events booked! It’s been a while, so I thought I’d share a little camera action from the past few weeks! Busy season is in full swing, with lots of beautiful interior and exterior projects keeping me on the move. This one was for the @stantec team in downtown Edmonton. More to share soon!

Buckle up, folks. If you’re into gear and want to know what’s currently in my camera bag, here we go. I like to say I’m immune to gear addiction syndrome (GAS), although this video may suggest otherwise. Speaking of which, for my Nikon friends: Should I upgrade my beloved Z 24-70mm f/2.8 Gen I to Gen II?
