Our odd little doco THIRD SPACE will be screening at Adelaide Film Festival 2026 @adlfilmfest! Part of the Australian Shorts program and as 1 of 6 short nominees for the Short Award! Come and see on Saturday 24 October at the Mercury Cinema Filmed between February and June, Third Space is a curious record of the end of summer inside a small town hall in Western Australia. Some days it flickers with the rhythms of dancing, cooking, and people. Some nights there are strange noises inside. Third Space stays behind while the hall is being packed down, when it’s empty, and even in the middle of the night, to discover what makes a space special and the people who bring it to life. BEHIND THE FILM | The people who made it happen. For the first year and a bit of Invisible Injuries, we kept things small. Really small. A little team, a lot of kilometres, a lot of problem solving, and a belief that there was a story here worth telling properly. But films are never made by one or two people. As Invisible Injuries grew, so did the number of people who stepped in. People who gave their time, shared their expertise, solved problems, opened doors and helped us turn everything we had captured into the film we’re about to share with the world. Jason Kingsley. Veronika Bohmova. Rachel Kahan. Scott Quayle. Christian Tejada. Sarah Gelmi. Emily Coelho. Aref Rashidan. Bryan Chance. Adam Darnley-Stuart. Ian Hale. Suzanne Worner. Dani Unger. Robert Wilkinson. Thomas Nauw. And the rest of the incredible CFX team in the Netherlands, who became part of this journey when the production took us halfway across the world. The National Military Museum in the Netherlands, for opening its doors to us and providing invaluable location support that allowed us to capture an important part of this story. And my parents, Tonia Rijn and Johan Bergsma, who somehow became part production coordinators, part hosts and part everything-we-needed-them-to-be when we arrived in the Netherlands, organising, helping and hosting our crew throughout the shoot. Independent filmmaking asks a lot of people, and so much of what goes into making a film will never be visible on screen. The hours nobody sees. The late nights. The favours. The phone calls. The flights and long drives. The problems that needed solving five minutes ago. And the people who simply said, “What do you need?” There are names in the credits that an audience may only see for a few seconds. We know what those names represent. Invisible Injuries exists because people believed this was a story worth helping us tell. Soon, the lights will go down and those credits will finally roll on a cinema screen. When they do, I hope every person who helped us get here feels incredibly proud of what we created together. None of us made this alone. Thank you! #filmcrewlife

most of my favourite frames from @ediephonehome’s new music video ‘burning’ are of edie holding candles and I’m so sorry but she did it SO WELL 🕯️ I’m in AWE of the team for this one, like in absolute AWE. first of all @spacemrkt_au opened up its home for us to shoot this. we felt at home and I can’t thank Joel enough for the kindness of letting us use the space. the TEAM oh my goodness. when they say it takes a village they aren’t lying. Every person on set contributed to so many of the details that either ended up on screen OR just helped in small ways behind the scenes and I’m just so thankful to have people who SHOW UP and not just do a job, but make something we’re all proud of and to @ediephonehome, who pushes me to dream big and never stop. burning is my favourite song from the EP and I’m so proud of what we achieve together, always ❤️‍🔥 I loved shooting this so many of my friends, here are all of their names and if you’re one of them - thank you. thank you thank you thank you.
