(New Series) The Floral Artistry of @ari_ahrang ONLY at @thegunterhotel , 7 days a week. I'm absolutely convinced that the floral art of @ari_ahrang has an aura of spiritual energy that is so beautiful and mystical. These temporary works of art are just amazing. I'm happy to share these images with my followers. #sculpture #sculptures #floralart

I’ve been feeling all the highs and lows of life lately but i survive bc God calls us to find gratitude in every part of it. Especially the ones that don’t make sense.

Anyways, here is one of the highs - I’ve always wanted to host an art show. Funny enough, I ended up being tasked with putting one together…Then we added an amazing designer @looking.friday to it (Libby Tolm). Then Libby offered to showcase as a show. Then it was, “what if we live paint on one of the pieces?” @monicaboschart Then we found one of the coolest muralists in San Antonio to also live paint Robert Johnson outside @souplaws. Then I called friends and volun(told) them they had to walk in the fashion show lol. We added live music, brought in more artists, and all the little pieces came together really fast.

If I had to describe what it feels like to create cool experiences, it’s basically like you never have enough time, everyone has an opinion, write it down rn or you’ll forget, ur making lots of phone calls, and you know that 30 minutes before your event starts, something will and does go wrong. But it ends up being one of the highs in your life and the feeling of your people supporting you outshines all the other weird feelings that life brings us.

And once you do it once, you want to do it over and over again. Because you had fun creating it and collaborating with others, and then you look around and realize maybe some things aren’t that deep and we’re just here for a good time, not a long time and if you read this whole diary entry ily lmao

TOMORROW, WHITE LINEN NIGHT MAKES ITS DEBUT AT THE GUNTER HOTEL. ✨ #thegunterhotel

For our first-ever White Linen Night, we’re bringing together an incredible lineup of Texas creators for an evening celebrating art, fashion (collection by @looking.friday), music, and the creative community that makes our state so special.

We’re officially at capacity, and incredibly grateful for the response to our inaugural evening. ⭐️

A special thank you to our partners who helped bring this evening to life @skinrejuvenationclinique @musicalbridges

To everyone joining us tomorrow - wear your summer white. We’ll see you at The Gunter. 🤍

May felt like such a blur. I spent the first two weeks sleeping and trying to adjust from the Hawai‘i time change.

Are the wedding blues real? I felt happy that the pressure of planning was finally over, but also sad that it was all behind us. There was this strange feeling of having nothing left to look forward to for myself. Maybe it’s a stay-at-home mom thing—sometimes it feels like you’re living entirely for your baby.

In the middle of all that anxiety, I signed up for a 10K in July. I needed something that was mine. Something that reminded me I’m still growing, still challenging myself, still becoming. I should probably start training for that…

I also kicked off my summer workshops with KELM, and they’ve brought so much joy back into my days. Creating, hosting, and connecting with people has made my heart happy and my creativity start flowing again.

I have a feeling it’s going to be a good summer. ˖ 𖦹°⋆
