The competition is great, but it’s the people who make it even better.

The teammates. The celebrations. The laughs. The moments between points.

This is what we’re building with the Chicago Pickleball League, and we’re just getting started!

Thank you as always to all the players and sponsors for making this league happen!

October 5, 2025. A date I don’t think I’ll ever forget.

That was the day I walked away from student teaching and the career path I had spent years preparing for. I had gone to school to become a teacher, and suddenly I was figuring out what came next. There were a LOT of “so…what are you doing now?” conversations, uncertainty, and definitely some overthinking. 😂

But I had pickleball.

What started as something I loved playing became something I decided to chase. Over the past year, I’ve competed, trained, coached kids and adults, run clinics and camps, given lessons, met incredible people, and slowly turned something I loved into a career.

And somewhere along the way, I realized:

I didn’t stop being a teacher. I just found a different classroom. 🏓

The court became my classroom, and coaching became another way for me to teach, connect with people, and help others build confidence and love the game.

I had no idea if choosing this path would work.

But today, I can say I took a chance on myself — and I’m making it work.

I’m so grateful for every friend, family member, coach, teammate, student, client, and supporter who has believed in me and helped me get here.

I don’t know exactly where this crazy pickleball journey is taking me next, but I know I’m not done chasing it.

One year down. A whole lot more to go. 🏓❤️

And yes… somehow, I actually made pickleball my job. 😂
