Ariana Castaneda (she/her) is a dancer who values creativity, self-expression, and connection through movement. She is drawn to contemporary and modern dance styles that allow her to explore emotion and storytelling in her work. Through dance, she has developed confidence, discipline, and a deeper understanding of herself as both an artist and performer. Ariana strives to create meaningful performances that resonate with audiences while continuing to grow and challenge herself creatively. @ariana_cast1

WOWWW, this past weekend was my Senior Capstone Concert. It was my final culmination of the past 4 years I’ve spent studying Dance Education at UVU.

Who knew that my experience in this program would be SO fulfilling and rewarding? I won’t lie though, the beginning was ROUGH. (Did NOT understand modern dance at the beginning, and lived off of 3 hours of sleep for months). But through the people there, I found the best in myself, and the bestest friends for life. These amazing people have taught me important life skills and lessons like: what are fajitas, you can’t run a marathon in 4 minutes, pickles are apparently cucumbers, Taco Bell shouldn’t ALWAYS be breakfast lunch AND dinner, glasses are necessary, water is important, and lastly, I won’t die from eating pasta salad.

Like @breelyn_smedley said: “If Gabby can make it through the program, anyone can”. But seriously though, these years at UVU have brought me lifelong memories, and epic growth as a person and a dancer. Catch me balling my eyes out when I don’t see the homies from 8-5 everyday when we graduate🥲

Brotherly love. This piece was a love letter to my family, to my 3 brothers. I would not be who I am without them, or without these dancers. I trusted them with my blood, and they helped me compose a beautiful, wacky story depicting the caring, annoying, silly, supportive relationship between siblings. I'm forever grateful for my families both on and off the stage. #craigs
