@whenwewereyoungfest was a transformative experience. Seeing my top favorite bands playing the albums that shaped my youth had me crying tears of joy in the crowd. I can’t wait to hit Vegas again next year!

Last night’s dinner was 😘.
Huge thanks to @isignyamerica and @isignystemere for the opportunity to cook and bake with this very special butter and cheese, and of course to everyone who joined us for dinner, drinks, and dessert. ❤️ Stay tuned for our next dinner announcement!

After a doozy of a day, our site is back up online and taking preorders for tomorrow. We're still digging out of this ice storm, still have no phone at the shop, and many of us have downed trees and no power or heat at home. (For those in the same boat, the Andy Murphy Center in midtown opens at 5 pm as an emergency overnight warming shelter.)

Luckily, KB+B is still in working order and our amazing team made it in today, and we were able to feed plenty of hungry neighbors this morning and afternoon AND get bread and pastries ready for tomorrow. It's our birthday weekend, and we're excited to celebrate with those of you who make it uptown tomorrow -- either to our shop or to the indoor Farmer's Market at the Senate Garage.

Stay safe tonight; if you're out and about tomorrow, we'll be on North Front Street with rainbow birthday croissants and lots of other goodies!

This week was one for the books: Our biggest bake and largest preorder pickup ever on Wednesday morning and afternoon, an awesome pizza and cocktail party on Thanksgiving evening, and yet another busy fall weekend serving up lots and lots of sandwiches, pastries and loaves.

We have not had "normal" since the first month we opened back in February 2020, and clearly the first month of a new business can't really be considered "normal" anyway. Every week since then has been something: New layouts and protocols, staff changes, equipment failures, supply chain drama, you all know the deal by now. We won't pretend that things will be smooth sailing from here on out, or that we know what the next few months will hold. But this weekend, we're celebrating a truly memorable and kick-ass couple of days and some of the best bread and food we've ever put out.

This pic was taken a few months ago, and it’s missing a few team members (Max! Wes! Jeszack!) but it's the closest thing we have to a group shot. Thank you to our wonderful team for making this dream a reality every day, and for making us so darn proud.

Happy Thanksgiving. Happy Small Business Saturday. And here's to a happy holiday season. ~ ❤️, A+A+A
