"Ambivalence" oil on board - is about the strange cruelty of being wounded by the same system that creates beauty.

Roses grows their thorns from the same body that creates their blossoms.
For me, this is the creative brain, but also the autistic brain.

The intensity that allows me to feel, imagine, obsess so deeply is the same thing that overwhelms me. My mind can be an endless source of beauty and simultaneously a prison I cant escape.

There is a melancholy ache in loving something that can hurt you. Our passions consume us and sensitivities overwhelm us.

The things we love most have access to the vulnerable parts of us because we love them so deeply.
