AUGUST 3 IN PARIS 💫 And some thoughts on love and life and gratitude below 🌀

One thing I know for sure is that my heart is and has always been tied to Paris. It seems like I’ve had a pull there since I can remember — whether it was my obsession with Madeline growing up (dressed as her for five Halloweens straight), or the unforgettable time I first had the privilege of visiting while studying French in high school, then again studying abroad in the Loire Valley for a summer in college. I don’t care if it’s cliché; Paris lives in my heart and a big part of my heart lives in Paris.

I still have so much to process and so much to share! — but being back for the first time in ten years was an absolute highlight of my summer and woooooooah did I feel a big shift in my heart and soul chemistry. They say that the third time is the charm and I certainly felt that 💫 There were times I was just walking around with tears in my eyes. I cried so hard on the plane as I left. I was so grateful to be there again, to exchange energy and love in a place that fills me up. A friend I met shared something that stuck with me from a book she read, loosely along the lines of: “ be aware of a place that brings you to tears, that’s where your treasure is”. Maybe those tears show where my true purpose lives — which arguably might be at a natural wine bar in Le Marais. Just kidding.

Thank you universe and Paris for reminding me that I have dreams I want to follow so deeply that it brings a whole bandwidth of emotions. Thank you @arianewildbeard for toting around the city with me and basking in the sunsets and late nights (early mornings). Thank you @mryza for the quote I won’t forget. Thank you to myself for chasing that feeling ❤️ Je reviens.
