Thankful beyond measure for a perfect 5 year chapter in NYC. To commemorate here is a list (in no particular order) of all the things I loved and will miss the most:

1. My favorite corner of The Met
2. Family walks down Greenwich Street
3. Sof & Capers & and the best porch in Greenpoint
4. Taking Cricket to get her daily cookie at the coffee shop
5. Visits from mom
6. Celebrating birthdays, anniversaries, and any other excuse we could think of with burgers at Joseph Leonard
7. Septembers & Octobers
8. Living in the same building as Janie & Nicole
9. Parkwood & my first home together (and the giant cannoli they installed on the side of it after we moved in)
10. Cece and I living out our childhood dreams together
11. The Crown Affair office
12. Marathon Sundays but none will ever top the year Park & Sof ran
13. Waking up in a snowglobe
14. My first NYC apartment with Pippa (and a few friendly mice)
15. Bagels
16. Central Park

We got Desi when I was 9 years old. My Dad and I named him — after the Cuban actor Desi Arnaz, most famous for I Love Lucy. I’d always wanted a dog and it ended up being crazy and special and wonderful.
We had 19 years together. We grew up together and I became his mama ❤️

It is the sweetest, purest love I have ever known. Being his mom became my favorite part of myself. I would do it a million times over. We were so lucky. I am so lucky.

Many people got to know and loved my distinguished gentleman. My culturally confused Scottish terrier, who understood Spanish commands, was “the Mayor” of our street.
He moved to NYC with me and became the light of my adult life.

There will never be another him. I’ll go on now without our walks, nighttime snugs, biggggg stretches…hoping our Desmolino, my toons, is with my dad again and they’re both okay.
Grief is so hard, but we try to find the grateful moments in the extraordinarily sad.

I love you doesn’t begin to cover it, Desi Gonzalez. But nonetheless, I love you un montón. Thank you, thank you, thank you… for choosing me, for seeing me, for hanging with us for this long. We will never really leave each other.

The perfect kickoff to summer with Crown Affair at my dream spot, Flamingo Estate.

Bringing this vision to life was everything and more. Every detail felt intentional, magical, and full of heart. I couldn’t imagine a better way to welcome the season with our community !!

Endless thanks to my incredible team, and major shout out to @cate.lawrence, for pouring so much love and soul into this evening. To my girls at @eliou__ — let’s keep running it back. You two are pure joy.

To everyone who joined, to my entire Crown Affair team, and everyone who helped bring this evening to life: thank you. It’s truly wild to think of how far we’ve come since I started this business five and a half years ago from the floor of my apartment in NYC. I’m so grateful for every second of this journey and all that’s ahead.

Here’s to the a summer of air drying, a lifetime of healthy, hydrated, beautiful hair, and to taking our time, always. ⏳
