AGE IS JUST A NUMBER… 💪🏆

I remember being in prison, asking my sister-in-law to send me Flex magazines so I could learn about bodybuilding, improve my workouts, and eat as well as I could under the circumstances.

Little did I know where that journey would take me.

Fast forward to 2020. Jen told me, “If you’re going through all this dieting, you might as well do a show.”

My response? “I’m too old for that.”

Her reply? “You can do anything you set your mind to.”

In 2021, at 45 years old, my bodybuilding journey began!

Since then, I’ve competed in 13 shows and earned Pro cards in three natural bodybuilding organizations: ANBF, OCB, and NGA. I’ve also competed in the NPC, winning multiple Masters titles and qualifying for NPC Nationals.

I love this sport, and yes, I’m competitive. We all want to win. But for me, it’s about more than trophies and placings. It’s about becoming a better version of myself every time I step on that stage.

And by that measure, I’m already a winner.

I’m not sharing this to brag. I’m sharing it to remind you that it’s never too late to chase a dream, challenge yourself, and achieve things you once thought were impossible.

Your age doesn’t define your limits, and your past doesn’t define your future.

Stop telling yourself you’re too old or that you can’t do it. Put in the work, stay consistent, and see what you’re capable of.

You are probably far more capable than you give yourself credit for.

The problem is that we often underestimate what small, consistent actions can accomplish because the results aren’t immediate.

But think of your health the way you think of compounding interest. 💰

A little effort today doesn’t seem like much. But repeat it tomorrow. And the next day. And the next year.

A 20-minute workout. A slightly better meal. A walk instead of the couch. Getting an extra hour of sleep. Taking a few minutes to clear your mind. 🧠💪

None of these things will transform your life overnight.

But compounded over months and years, they can completely change the person you become.

Start small. Stay consistent. Let time do the heavy lifting. ⏳

You don’t need to be perfect. You just need to keep making deposits into your future self. 📈

Sorry for the length. Just wanted to give the full breakdown on the Universe from last week now that I’ve had time to on it and let the last 19 months deeply sink in. If you can bear through it great. Following the videos with the explanations there’s personal picks and some comparisons. Also, I wanted to wait for the professional pics to come back. Obviously, I couldn’t post them all as I’m limited to 20.

First and foremost, I must thank my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Without Him these last several months I honestly would NOT have made it through the last 16-20 weeks.
Secondly, @anthony_delluxe Not only my coach through the last 5-6 years, but brother in Christ, training partner and one of my best friends in life. Brother, you prepared me for a battle. We may have lost this battle but with the Holy Spirit by our side you damn well know we’ll win the war.
My family…. You’ve shown up and have been there through it all for so many years. The biggest and most important thing to me is how you were there to witness it for the first time in person. It meant the entire world to me. @kenziekahn @justinkahnn @jameskahn75

Everyone else who has been there along the way at some point I’m gonna do my best to tag you. Anyone from super supporter to family, to those who just gave me encouraging words or support along the way.

Additional tags will have to be added as I was limited to 20 🤷🏻‍♂️.

Most people never reach their fitness goals because they’re trying to be perfect from day one.
The truth? You don’t need the “best” workout or the “perfect” diet, you need consistency.

🏃‍♂️ Walk.
🏋️ Lift weights.
🚴 Ride a bike.
🏊 Swim.
🥾 Hike.

It doesn’t matter what you choose. If it’s something you can do consistently, that’s exactly where you should start.

Build the habit first. Build the foundation. Then worry about optimizing.

The same goes for nutrition. Follow the 80/20 rule:
🥩🍎 80% whole, nutrient-dense foods like lean proteins, fruits, vegetables, and other minimally processed foods.
🍕🍦 20% foods you simply enjoy.

You don’t have to earn your way into a healthy lifestyle by suffering. You earn it by showing up, over and over again.
Progress isn’t built through perfection, it’s built through consistency.

Now get up, move your body, and let tomorrow’s version of you thank you for starting today. 💪🏼🔥
