Today was incredibly emotional. Seven months ago, I began the Developers Academy with @Nareb_Realtist, and today we officially graduated. All week, @medicine2mortgages and I have been talking about how our sister, @realestatetraci, is the reason we both decided to enroll in this program. This was her vision, and she was supposed to be walking across that stage with us today. We carried her with us every step of the way. ❤️ I'm also deeply grateful for the village that shared this journey with me. The friendships, support, encouragement, and knowledge I've gained will stay with me forever. One thing I truly believe is this: in order to be a great teacher, you must first be a great student. Seven months ago, I bet on myself. New company. New systems. A whole new routine — all while life kept happening the way life does. There were moments I wondered if I was taking on too much at once. Today I walked across that stage as a graduate of the NAREB Developers Academy. 🎓 But I didn't get here alone — and I refuse to tell this story like I did. @realestatetraci this sits close. You are the reason the PMBR Developers Committee exists. You saw something in me before I fully saw it in myself, and you handed me the belief I needed to build it. Losing you last year broke something open in me. But every room I develop, every door I help open, every person I bring along — that's you, still here, still building through me. I carry you into every one of these rooms. As 2nd Vice President of the Philadelphia Metropolitan Board of Realtists, and now a Developers Academy graduate, I know exactly what this work is for: building housing, wealth, and access in the communities that need it most. Not just developing property — developing people. Developing legacy. And I didn't stand up there by myself. My PMBR board and chapter members showed up for me — the way we always show up for each other. That's what this community is. . And my @Rate family? They came in, filled the room, captured every moment, and made sure I felt celebrated during the opening ceremony. I have never experienced support like this in my career. This is what it looks like to build in community. To never build alone. The work continues, Traci.
