Life has been surreal lately. Lucky, grateful, and still in disbelief to have been part of the launch of Trionda - the Official Match Ball of the FIFA World Cup 2026. Couldn’t have done it without the most talented and wonderful team. ❤️

It was a full house for the opening of ‘Always in Fashion’ and we could not be more grateful to everyone that attended (and came dressed to the nines)!

Thank you to everyone who joined us this evening, alongside Dr. Elder Bob and Stuart Keeler for their inspiring remarks. For those who couldn't make it, or are eager for another visit, the exhibition will available to visit until January 3rd, 2027.

This opening event would not have been possible without Dillon's Small Batch Distillers and Tea N Bannock. The Textile Museum of Canada would like to extend immense gratitude to TD Bank Group through the TD Ready Commitment (@td_canada) for supporting this exhibition.

A sneak peek at Always In Fashion, opening tomorrow, May 1! ✨

Curated by Amber-Dawn Bear Robe, this exhibition celebrates Indigenous designers who are reshaping the fashion industry by reclaiming cultural narratives, innovating with ancestral techniques, and challenging colonial frameworks within fashion.

On Sunday, May 3, Amber-Dawn will be joined by Julia Brucculieri, Curator and Exhibition Manager, for an in-depth conversation about the exhibition. Together, they’ll discuss the complex politics of Indigenous fashion — from the challenges of borders, to shifting industry standards (like the CFDA’s stance on fur), to the nuanced realities of intra-community tensions and high-fashion appropriation.

This is a unique opportunity to hear directly from the curators about the ideas, research, and collaborations behind the exhibition.

🔗 Visit the link in our bio to learn more and register. We can’t wait to share this exhibition with you!

The Textile Museum of Canada would like to extend our thanks to @td_canada for their support of this exhibition through TD Ready Commitment.

Last week, I had the chance to join a panel conversation at the Textile Museum of Canada here in Toronto 🧵✨

Hosted by @icnicastro we dove into the making of the digital piece, digital fashion, and the space where technology, craft, and storytelling meet.
It was great to slow down, talk process, and go beyond the final result.

Big thank you to everyone who came out, asked thoughtful questions, and shared the moment.
And to the museum team for creating such a warm space for conversation.

Also yes… I took the opportunity to do a little portrait photoshoot 📸😅
