Appreciation post for @jspencermac. Spencer, the way you’ve brought Xavier to life in School Spirits is honestly on another level. Seeing him evolve from that edgy “bad boy” who made a lot of mistakes in Season 1 to a character who truly redeemed himself and became such an important by Season 3 has been such a rewarding journey to watch. No one else could have handled Xavier’s complexity.

Xavier is one of those characters that brings in comedic relief after intense moments the bird call in 304 will literally be iconic forever! 🦜💀 (If you know, you know!)

Beyond the screen, it’s so clear from all the behind-the-scenes clips and interviews that you’re one of the most down-to-earth people. You have such a natural way of making everyone around you feel comfortable and loved, which makes being a fan of yours even better.

I’m so proud of everything you’ve achieved so far and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for you! 🖤

My heart is full❤️I don’t get to make films often, when this opportunity came up I knew I wanted to do an ensemble film with an killer cast with multiple stories that were humorous, haunting, poignant, and a little magical⚡️🪄

In 1982 my Mom taught my Dad how to ski while they were honeymooning in Snowbird, Utah. They got 40 inches of powder. It was up to their waists, and they were wearing jeans. My Dad was instantly hooked and my mom’s simple act of teaching her new husband to ski became a pastime they shared for the next 43 years. Last March was her final ski trip, in Stowe, Vermont.

This winter, Mitch and I spent a month on the slopes with my dad, brother, and our friends. Ben and Kelsey came from Hawai’i to meet us in Tahoe with their three-year-old twins. Guess what? They went skiing for the first time :). My mom’s legacy felt very real. I spent many runs listening to her favorite music and remembering the elegant and effortless lines she would make in the snow. She had style and grace.

We closed out the season in Stowe, and after our final day of skiing decided to visit a lodge near the resort - one my dad had mentioned multiple times throughout the week. In the lobby, every table had arrangements of alstroemeria flowers, my mom’s favorite. ❤️

I’ve been reading a book by David Kessler on grief, grieving, and finding meaning in loss. I’m doing my best to let memories of my Mom bring a smile instead of tears - sometimes it works!

I’m so grateful for this sport that has become central to our family. It lets me spend the winter outdoors, weaving through trees under a wide, open sky, surrounded by the people I love. Thank you, Mom, because of you the only winter blues I get are trails on the mountain.
