RIP to my all-time favorite steel coaster and RMC, Arie Force One. It was very unfortunate that I only got a handful of rides on it because this was the only time I was able to experience AF1 but it was well worth the drive. I sure hope that this absolute American masterpiece of a ride gets relocated to some major park in which it most likely will.

🦋August🦋

Shew lordy, what a month. Good, bad, and everything in-between. This is not everything I did in August, but it’s most of the things. None of these pictures are in the order I did the things, but oh well 😂 Let’s get started, shall we?

🦋I went to Dollywood to celebrate the start of school, and Benji made me laugh harder than I had in weeks! I love that silly old bear.
🦋 I ALSO got to OPEN DOLLYWOOD THAT DAY!!! I was SUPER early to ride Nightflight, like- the first car in lot C type of early, and was one of the first in line to get into the park. I bonded with the sweet youngster in the picture, her name’s Hannah, and she let me open Dollywood!! I got to give a little speech and everything! It was one of the coolest things I think I’ve ever done!
🪿I got a porch goose for my classroom!!! Her name is Dolly. My coworker and friend Maghan named her on Monday.
🐶 I traveled to Maryville, Tennessee to go support one of my sweetest pals, Rebecca George! She wrote the CUTEST children’s book about the fluffball I’m giving belly rubs to, sweet Jasper!
🎲 got to see the closing of Guys and Dolls! That was fun!
(Pls scroll to continue!)

🤍spent some time with my favorite cousin, sweet Luna-Runa!!! She always gets so excited to see me, it’s adorable!
💖I went to Dollywood yesterday, to mourn. To celebrate my birthday coming up on Tuesday. To be with friends I knew needed me as much as I needed them. I saw people I hadn’t seen in months, I saw people I saw a few weeks ago. It was healing to be there, and so heartbreaking too. The way that the park has honored her is breathtaking to see. It was an honor to be there with everyone.
🐀I saw my sweet friend Jessi there too!! We were there to marathon River Rampage with @themeparkvision! Now, I had told Mary that she’d get 1, MAYBE 2 rides out of me before I tapped out. I love Daredevil Falls, but River Rampage isn’t my favorite 😂. Y’all I rode that ride 7 times. There was not a dry place ON my body. I left PUDDLES. I had the time of my life! I loved meeting everyone there, and I loved spending time with my friends.
💔 I went to her statue for the first time ever. I left flowers. I’ll go back and visit her from

Late last year, an unsuspecting passerby asked me about my Top Thrill jacket at a @relientk concert, which started my insane obsession with finding their "Batman ride" (aka, Dominator at Kings Dominion). During this period, I purchased a book on Geauga Lake, its history, and its closure, and I was incredibly taken by the photos within. I'd never gotten the chance to visit, but I could feel the spirit of somewhere long dead in the photographs of the pages of this book. It brought me to tears that something so small could say so much without having to say anything at all.

On August 2,Funspot Atlanta closed forever, and I had the opportunity to be there with my little Canon camera. I was there with friends, new and old, getting to experience the park as it was meant to be experienced: vibrant, full of life, and full of people that love it.

That's how I want @funspotamericathemeparks Atlanta to be remembered. That's how I want to be able to showcase the park. I hope my photos do justice to the incredible community and the incredible people I saw and experienced that day who came out for just one more ride.

In spite of everything, we will face tomorrow with hope 💫
