My life has been changed since meeting my little sister, my mini bestie, my perfect, CANCER-BEATING angel, Kaylin.

Kaylin and I were paired through the @leiaskids foundation, a non-profit dedicated to creating beautiful moments for these cancer warriors and their families.

We learned how to bake together, we love to play dress up, we sing her favorite princess songs, jump, dance, and make silly faces. Kaylin has inspired me in more ways than I could ever fathom, constantly making me stop and pause at the amount of hardship she has had to endured in a mere 5 years of life.

She was diagnosed with B-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia at an age where her only concern should’ve been what her favorite Disney princess was. I had the absolute privilege to attend her ring the bell ceremony in September of this year, and stayed with the family to learn more about their journey, and to fully immerse myself in the true horror of what a 2.5 year cancer battle looks like.

Nothing could’ve prepared me for the absolute overwhelm of emotion when celebrating Kaylin during the Leia’s Kid’s Gala. We celebrated HARD the only way we know how- glitter, face gems, princess gowns, and lots of dancing. Thank you Leia, for the most beautiful night that I will never forget. 💜
