In August 2020, I started @tossandspin with one belief: that racket sports could connect the world.

For almost 6 years, our team has kept our heads down — building brick by brick. We’ve looked at challenges as opportunities and chosen to run into storms, not away from them.

In July 2025, Rich asked me what I thought about an opportunity in Kenwood/Hyde Park.
My first thought: This is amazing.
My second: How on earth are we going to make this happen?

We leaned in. We partnered even deeper with @playspf. We got creative — calling on our USTA counterparts and @allies4cb. At the end of September, we received the lease.

By November 1, we had opened the doors.

We brought tennis back. We introduced pickleball. And we created a new home for all sports on the South Side.

Entrepreneurship is funny. Sometimes the problems you’re facing today are the exact prayers you were praying for years ago.

I don’t know what the future holds — but I do know this: I’m incredibly proud of the team, the work, and the countless hours they poured into my dream. I’m equally grateful for the support we continue to receive from this community.

I’m grateful for the challenges — because they’re shaping Toss and Spin into the strongest version of itself.

Happy Monday, my friends.
Thank you for believing in us and being on this journey with us. 🎾
