a rainy day in atlanta, new south indian coffee spot, and space to just be.

spent the day at @raanicoffee in east atlanta, co-creating with my little sister, taking meetings without rushing, connecting with new people, tasting pastries + coffee, and letting the atmosphere do what it does best—hold me.

even the rain became part of the ritual. styling intentionally, leaning into color psychology, letting the look guide the mood.

this is what creative nourishment looks like for me. it's slow, present and open.

i've been exploring the concept of home a great deal the past few years. obviously purchasing my first property and making a new space feel like me has me thinking about it even more.

OCT '24 we went back to where it once began for my dad's side of the family. transparently, there's a lot to unpack there but it's not my story to tell so i'll let them share what home means to them.

i got bit by the travel bug early. ✈️🌍

caught my first flight at the tender age of 4 years old to visit my dad thousands of miles across the country. from atl to sac, i'd travel to spend time with my family each year.

back then i didn't know what this would fuel inside of me. now I know, it exposed me to the possibilities. (thanks parentals for the sacrifices to make these trips happen for me)

the possibility that there is more out there than my little hometown.

we would take other trips between then.
like our first cruise to Cozumel and Calica Mexico or our next to the Bahamas.

or when my sis and mom took my eldest niece to Disneyworld for the first time.

nothing felt impossible for little chelsea who had already seen so much. going off to Howard University in DC was easeful. moving across the country to LA felt normal.

i always knew there was more. more to see. more to experience. more culture to embrace.

ACROSS SEAS is more than another aesthetically pleasing travel vlog series. it's the very core of who i am, who i've become and who I’m meant to be.

this first episode is beyond important. it's my pops and unc's first trip home in over 4 decades!!! and my sibs first time in India. hear all about it over on YouTube.
