Slow dinners, smoky air + everything tastes better cooked over an open fire. 🔥

One of our favorite details at AutoCamp: gathering around the fire to cook together… all the nostalgia of camping, but with a few more comforts added in.

Summer update ~ been off IG for months and how great it feels!!! how great it feels to grow another summer garden and compare this tomato to that one. And how sweet is it to get to one place to the next in my new town without pulling out my phone and how splendid it feels to be in love with a sweet silly man who helps me see clearly, sell hats, discover deep heart space and grow. How nice to see my lil new kiddo friends grow up and the magic that comes with childhood and sleeping outside and sharing soul convos, dancing, alpine lakes, deep breaths and driving with a close friend. How nice to bask in the simplicity of life and the sun! The goodness, the ice cream and the treats!! How nice and sweet to remind myself how writing ig captions always makes me cry ~ so much love here ~ see you soon ig fam 🤍🤍🤍

GREETINGS 💌🌊

And welcome to Letters from Longwave! Your monthly dose of what’s happening around the studio, community news, mindful reflections, and a little inspiration for life on and off the mat.

For August, we’re talking about JOY.

In the tradition of yoga, joy, ananda, or bliss, is considered to be our inner-most layer of Self.

Not happiness because everything went right. Not something that only arrives when the seas are calm and the tides are in our favor.

Something deeper.

A teacher of ours often says that to practice yoga is to remember.

Maybe joy is something we’re meant to remember, too.

Because perhaps joy isn’t something we have to chase.
Perhaps joy is something we return to.

Join us all month long as we explore JOY, on and off the mat. 💛

Until next time,
keep riding the wave. 🌊

xoxo,
Longwave Yoga

P.S. Portugal, we’re coming for you. 🇵🇹☀️
Stay tuned for letters from Longwave in Lagos. 💌
