Being 7 days out from my birthday I am in a period of reflection. This year started off amazing and then at the end of February it turned into one of the worst years of my life. Despite that, I have still experienced joy and found ways to smile through it.

Here’s an 8 month photo dump:
1-Having fun with the boys
2-At the beginning of the year I rededicated my life and decided to get baptized (again 🥹). What I did not expect to happen was for my baptism to be two days after my dad died 🙃 however in that moment I felt I was right where I was supposed to be.
3- I’m very comfortable with death from believing that it’s a comma in someone’s life, not a period and despite what I thought my feelings would be given our relationship when this day came I still was not prepared for the emotions that came with it. I will say each day is getting.. “easier”.
4-Visited Hawaii for the first time.
5- Easter Sunday ✝️
6- Kicked off the Springfield May Day rally on behalf of N2N ✊🏾
7- Supported the Fifth Annual Q Williams Kentucky Derby Day Fundraiser with one of my favorite people
8- Peoples Action Executive Directors Stepback (shoutout to the Young ED community I found)
9- Co-Mentored my first oratorical participant for the Annual Edward Brooke III Oratorical Competition (he placed 2nd 😌)
10- Hospitalized twice within two weeks with a reminder about rest 🥹
12- Doing my duties during Pride Month as the Co-Chair of the MA Commission on LGBTQ Youth 🏳️‍🌈
13- Led my first staff retreat and truly enjoying my co-conspirator. There’s no one else I’d rather be leading our org with! 🫶🏾
14- Christen and I somewhere in the world 🤣
15- AfroNation 2025 in Portugal 🇵🇹
16- Spending two solo days in Barcelona 🇪🇸
17- Semone’s Wedding: I was so excited for this day to celebrate my friend. I’m so happy she has found her forever person 🤎
