СHANGER DUBAI | 22–23 OCTOBER Two days for founders, spouses and heirs. 🇸🇬 Dr. Parag Khanna | Singapore @drparagkhanna THE CENTURY OF CITIES: The Future of Global Power and Wealth, ahead of everyone else. In 2008, at 30, Parag Khanna challenged the era of American dominance in a New York Times Magazine cover essay, Waving Goodbye to Hegemony. It became one of the most debated foreign-policy essays of the post-Cold War era. Almost two decades later, his vision of a multipolar world is taking shape. Today, Khanna advises governments and global institutions, including Henley & Partners and the Milken Institute. Esquire named him among its 75 Most Influential People of the 21st Century. Few foresaw Dubai’s rise in 1980. Which cities will shape wealth and opportunity by 2070, when our children are leading? Where should families live, invest and build for generations? DEFENCETECH | TRYPILLIAN Changer member Brooks Newmark shares his ambition to build second unicorn through drones and cognitive defence - and how members can explore the journey with him. 23 OCTOBER | ART & CONNECTIONS 18:00 | ArtFlow, Ayyam Gallery, Alserkal Avenue THE COLLECTOR’S EYE with curator Pauline Foessel. Learn to recognize contemporary art before the market does. Bring your children: taste and judgment are developed, not inherited. 20:00 | Shanghai Me, DIFC An afterparty where conversations become partnerships and lasting friendships. What is Changer Club? A founder can transfer capital. Not the instinct to create it. Every year without exploring, deciding and building together with children is a lost year of developing the next generation. Changer brings entrepreneurs, spouses and heirs together with exceptional thinkers, breakthrough investments and families who challenge one another to grow. Founders become builders again. Children become creators, not merely inheritors. We exist to make families flourish - every generation stronger than the one before.

The hardest part of succession is not transferring shares. It is changing identity. A son or daughter can inherit 20% of a company in one day. That does not make them an owner. Being an owner is a job. You need judgment. You need to understand risk. You need to make decisions when there is no obvious answer. You need to feel responsibility for something bigger than yourself. And the founder has an equally difficult transition. For 30 years, success often came from control, speed, conviction and taking responsibility personally. Then suddenly the same person is expected to step back, listen, allow mistakes and give someone else real authority. These are almost opposite skills. This is why succession cannot be solved only with lawyers, tax advisers, trusts and family constitutions. All of that matters, but it deals mostly with structure. The real work is behavioural. Young people need to spend time with other young people who are facing the same questions. They need to see peers who are already taking responsibility, investing, joining boards, challenging their parents and building their own judgment. Founders need the same thing. They need to see other founders who have managed to stop being the centre of every decision without losing their relevance in the family. Something interesting happens when both generations are in the same environment. A father can repeat the same idea to his son for five years and get nowhere. Then the son sees another person his own age doing exactly that and suddenly the idea becomes normal. The same happens with founders. Sometimes another founder can ask one question that changes the way someone thinks about their children. This is why Changer brings generations together rather than separating them into different programmes. The next generation needs the experience of the senior generation. The senior generation needs the energy and perspective of the next. Both need to change. That is what succession is really about. Changer Club’s next reception is in Dubai on October 22. Perhaps it’s time to start building your legacy.

Over the past months in Monaco, we’ve been exploring how European families approach succession: governance, ownership, choosing successors, and preparing children to carry responsibility. Now, in Dubai, it’s time to look at the Middle East. On September 24, we will be hosting Dr. Basma Al Zamil, third generation of one of Saudi Arabia’s great industrial families. The Al Zamil story began in 1920. Today, the family oversees a roughly $5B-scale business ecosystem with 12,000+ employees and is ranked among the Forbes Top 100 Arab Family Businesses. But the interesting part isn’t the size. It’s how they built a family capable of surviving the size. The Al Zamils formalised family governance decades ago and created the Zamil Future Leaders Programme, preparing the next generation from their teenage years for ownership, leadership and responsibility. Basma has lived this transition from inside the family and today advises other major Middle Eastern families facing the same challenge. HOW FAMILIES SURVIVE THE THIRD GENERATION Lessons from three generations of a Forbes Top 100 Arab Family Business. The question we will explore: What do Middle Eastern dynasties understand about raising the next generation that European families may have forgotten? 🔥 NEW IN OUR NEXTGEN PROGRAM - KIDS MENTORSHIP Abdo Achkar, an angel investor with 24 startup investments and an experienced startup builder, will take your son or daughter’s idea on stage and help shape it into a real startup concept - live in front of the room. On September 25, we continue with ArtFlow and a journey FROM DESERT TO LOUVRE: How Arab Families Built a Cultural Legacy - exploring how art, collecting and patronage became part of the legacy of the region’s great families. And we’ll close these two days together at Amazonico Dubai - leaving the formal program behind and continuing the conversations over dinner in a more relaxed atmosphere. Dubai, September 24-25. See you there.

“If there’s already a foundation built, why not build on top of it instead of starting from zero?” The advice Avneesh Chhabra @avin.c received from his father at 18 became crucial to continuing what three generations of his family had built – and turning a family business into a dynasty. Today, Avneesh is a third-generation family business owner behind Baby Brand Saffron, one of India’s oldest and largest saffron brands. A technologist at heart, he developed the first Unicode Hindi font for mobile devices at just 15. He later brought that same mindset into the family business – inventing and patenting machinery for saffron processing and packaging and developing a custom ERP system to manage operations from farm to shelf. Under his leadership, the family business grew from $4M to $45M in revenue. But perhaps the most important thing he inherited was not the business itself. It was the understanding that three generations of work are not a gift to be taken for granted. They are a foundation to build on. His father taught him that the next generation should never feel entitled to the family business. They have to earn their place, respect what was built before them – and have the freedom to innovate and take it further. Today, alongside the family business, Avneesh continues building in technology and has also founded AXS Realtors in Dubai, connecting real estate investment between India and the UAE. At Changer, we bring generations into the same room to have these conversations: what should be preserved, what should change, and how each generation can build on what came before — and carry the dynasty further. This September, Changer starts a new season: 🇲🇨 Monaco, September 10–11 🇦🇪 Dubai, September 24–25 Join the Club and bring your heir along, link in bio

One of the traps in family business succession is what Professor Alfredo De Massis @familybusinessprof calls the CLONE DESIRE SYNDROME. Successful founders may expect the next generation to think, lead and run the business the same way they did. But the heir is not a clone. Different generation. Different strengths. Different ambitions. Instead of trying to adapt the next generation to the existing organization, sometimes the organization itself needs to adapt to its next generation. This is part of what we do at Changer: help families understand the strengths of their next generation and prepare them to lead in their own way - not as a copy of the founder. On September 10 in Monaco, we continue the succession conversation at our next Changer session: WHICH OF YOUR CHILDREN SHOULD INHERIT THE THRONE? How do you identify and prepare the right successor? Not necessarily the oldest. Not necessarily the closest to you. And not necessarily the child who reminds you most of yourself. Who can actually carry the family further than you did - and what should you do today to prepare them? Have you seen the Odyssey movie? We found five lessons for succession. Proven by 3000 years of history. Every heir eventually walks one of five paths. Some spend their lives trying to surpass their parents. Some reject everything their family built. Some keep searching for themselves. Some achieve success, yet quietly lose their sense of purpose. Only one becomes a Builder. Homer revealed these paths through Telemachus long before psychology gave them names. The question was never: "How do you transfer wealth?" The real question has always been: Who does the heir become before the wealth arrives? Because dynasties are not inherited. They are developed. Now you can do it together with 270 families in Monaco and Dubai at Changer Club. PS: The idea of different heir types draws on Evgeniy Scherbanskiy @evgeniy.scherbanskiy modern interpretation of successor archetypes. The post was inspired by a recent keynote by Professor Alfredo De Massis, @familybusinessprof Italy's leading consultant and scholar on succession and dynasties, working with families of Frescobaldi and Banca Sella that survived 700 years.

Why would a dynasty-building club study contemporary art? Because the future does not belong to people who simply know more. It belongs to those who see what others don’t. At Changer, we believe entrepreneurial families need three forms of development. We are intellectually challenged by some of the world’s greatest minds. We invest together in frontier technologies that will shape the future. And through ArtFLOW, we deliberately train creativity, intuition and the ability to recognize value before the rest of the market. ArtFLOW is Changer’s creativity laboratory. Every session follows the same philosophy. Our curator, Mikaela Milicuri @milicuri_ opens the doors to today’s contemporary art world, explaining what ideas matter, which artists are redefining culture, and how some of the world’s most successful families build collections that become part of their legacy. Then we invite an exceptional emerging artist. Not to admire their work. To understand how they think. Every breakthrough begins with someone seeing the world differently. In Cyprus, we had the privilege of bringing together two remarkable artists. Yorgos Papadopoulos, @yorgosstudio whose extraordinary glass sculptures transform light into living architecture and Nikolas Antoniou, @nikolas_antoniou whose vibrant floral paintings celebrate emotions and timeless beauty. We are thankful to Synclery Art Gallery for support, @s_y_n_c_l_e_r_y But the deeper conversation wasn’t only about art. It was about legacy. What if every generation of a family added one meaningful work of art, not simply as an investment, but as a symbol of the values, decisions and defining moments of the family? Over time, a collection becomes more than objects. It becomes a visual history of who the family is. Money can be transferred in a single day. Culture takes generations to build. They pass on a way of seeing the world. That is the purpose of ArtFLOW. Because family culture is often the most valuable inheritance of all. Changer Cyprus 🇨🇾 session held in partnership with leading developer in Paphos Domenica Group @domenica_group Our next ArtFLOW experience takes place on 7 August in Monaco.

Last week in Dubai, we had Abdulkhaleq Abdulla, a leading think tank expert on UAE strategic policy – a person usually invited by the World Economic Forum and advisory circles of the Royals. Abdulkhaleq cut through the noise with two numbers that actually matter – $2 trillion and 110 billion barrels – and said, “This is what you’re really dealing with.” In that moment, it became clear that most of what people react to in the headlines is surface-level movement sitting on top of a system that doesn’t behave the way outsiders expect. Remember these two numbers – this is the scale of the UAE’s capacity to defy any crisis. Only at Changer Club in Dubai are power families privileged to elevate the caliber of discussions to this level. This caliber will result in wealth and impact redistribution post-war. If you feel you want to be part of this room, the next reception in Dubai is on the 7th of May 2026. While some have left, Changer is bullish on Dubai.

Dubai was easy for a while. From 2021 to 2024, transaction volumes crossed ~AED 500B annually, prime assets moved up 40%+, capital was flowing, decisions were fast, and almost everything worked. But that phase is shifting. The market isn’t slowing down – it’s becoming more selective. Less momentum, more judgment. This is where the difference starts to show. Not between those who have access, but those who know what to choose, when to move, and how to see earlier. Operator quality matters now more than ever. Amiran Kavtaradze, @amiran85 — a founder of @alcenza.realestate @alcenza_realestate , Dubai based full-service real estate company covering everything from property investments to company setup, relocation, and mortgage solutions, with over 3BN AED in real estate transactions closed — operating close to real deal flow, strong developers (including Nr.1 UAE developer Emaar), and decisions that are made before the market fully catches up. In a time of upheaval, Alcenza is the most reliable partner to strike the best deals in Dubai – with a clear approach, hands-on advisory, and focus on real execution. That’s the layer we value inside Changer. Not access – alignment. 🔥#partnerofChangerClub

Monaco has already won. It’s the most concentrated wealth environment in the world. Over 40% of residents are millionaires, with average wealth above $20M per person. Nowhere else has capital been gathered this efficiently. But there’s a deeper question behind it. Wealth rarely survives across generations. Research often shows that around 70% of families lose it by the second generation, and up to 90% by the third. Not because of bad markets, but because money tends to grow faster than judgment. Children inherit assets, but they don’t automatically inherit drive, resilience, or direction. And Monaco, by its nature, removes friction. It creates safety, privacy, comfort. All of which are valuable, but can quietly reduce ambition over time. The real challenge is no longer about building wealth. Monaco has already solved that. The real question is what comes next. Who turns wealth into capability? Who raises decision-makers, not just heirs? Because dynasties are never built in comfort. They are shaped through exposure, responsibility, and the right environment. This is the missing piece. Family offices manage capital. Schools transfer knowledge. But very few environments are designed to surround the next generation with the right people, decisions, and pressure. This is where Changer Club comes in. A system where the right families meet the right people, ideas, and challenges. Where the next generation is exposed to real decision-makers, real decisions, real stakes. Where the next generation is not protected from the world, but introduced to it. Not just preserving wealth, but growing into it. Monaco doesn’t need more rich people. It needs more capable ones. And the places that understand this won’t just attract wealth, they will shape the families who carry it forward #changerclub #changermonaco
