Two days until @abc.chester ✨ *invited Cod & caviar or a juicy & cheesy burger… which are you choosing? 🍔 Located inside the beautiful Arkle Bar at the Grade II-listed Chester Grosvenor, this new concept by @chefsamgriffiths is now being served up every Wednesday evening from 6:30pm 😍 If you haven’t visited @chestergrosvenor before, it sits right in the heart of Chester, just by the iconic Eastgate Clock. It’s also home to Arkle, one of my mum’s and my all-time favourite restaurants. The more casual menu in Arkle’s gorgeous bar focuses on classic dishes with seasonal flavours. These plates are perfect for a solo bite, for sharing, or you can build your own perfect meal 🍽️ Here’s what we went for 👇 🍟 Triple cooked beef fat potato wedges, aged Parmesan, winter truffle £9.50 🍗 Buttermilk fried chicken, rosemary salt, sour cream £12 🍖 Pork Schnitz, chorizo aioli, choucroute £11 🐟 Tempura cod cheeks, tartare hollandaise, caviar £15 🍔 abc cheeseburger £9 🥒 Tempura courgette with white bean hummus £7 🍦 Hazelnut ice cream, evoo, sea salt £7 Safe to say this food was incredible. Those wedges may be the best wedges ever made. And those cod cheeks, oooof, these were our favourite. The tempura was so delicate, the fish fell apart …and paired with the rich hollandaise and salty caviar pop to finish? Amazing 👏 Thank you so much to @chefsamgriffiths and @borisfilip for looking after us and letting us sample this beautiful menu and drinks. Couldn’t recommend enough 🥂 Which dish would you order first? 👀 . #chesterrestaurants #finedining #chestergrosvenorhotel

How exquisite are these dishes at @abc.chester ✨ *invited This is the brand-new concept from executive chef @chefsamgriffiths , located in the beautiful Arkle Bar inside the iconic, Grade II listed @chestergrosvenor 🍽️ Available every Wednesday, no booking needed. Just pop in from 6:30pm (until 9:30pm), enjoy a delicious drink, order one dish or try them all, and soak up the relaxed atmosphere 🤗 The menu is neat and concise, with nine dishes to choose from, including two desserts. It’s a fabulous mix of British cuisine with modern twists. None of the dishes are available on the Arkle tasting menus or at @labrasserie.chester , which makes this concept feel even more special 😍 I don’t think photos could truly do these dishes justice, the food was perfection. It’s such a great way to sample what Arkle has to offer without committing to a tasting menu, especially if you prefer a more relaxed, less structured dining experience 🍽️ I’ll share more details about the dishes we tried in a reel so you can see them in action, but our standouts were the burger (£9) and the tempura cod cheeks with caviar (£15), absolutely sensational 👌 A huge thank you to @chefsamgriffiths and @borisfilip for looking after us and letting us sample this beautiful menu and drinks 🥂 Which slide is YOUR favourite? 🤩 . #chesterrestaurants #finedining #chesterfoodie
