🚨 LOCAL SPOTLIGHT 🚨

ATX United is through to the next round of the 2027 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup Qualifying after defeating fellow Austin-area club CapCity SC, with Cedar Park native Armando Vidal scoring the winner in the final minutes of the match 👍

The win sends ATX United into the Third Qualifying Round, set for Oct 31-Nov 1. A win there would send them to the Final Qualifying Round on Nov 21-22, where 16 teams will earn their place in the 2027 U.S. Open Cup Tournament Proper ✅

ATX United is now just two wins away from reaching the Tournament’s big stages and the opportunity to compete against professional clubs 👏

Snippets of a weapon power session with @freshbeazt. Training late into the night can negatively affect sleep, and we know how important sleep is to health and longevity. However with five days away, we had to squeeze one in before the break. Do what you love, and do it really really well. We love facilitating high performance, our clients love performing at the peak of their capacity.

Roll on 2021 👊🏻👊🏻👊🏻

Each individual has their own optimal mental state, coined as the ‘individualized zone of optimal functioning’. (Hanin, 97). In the picture above; a team of 11, all with differing mindsets, differing skill sets, resting levels of anxiety, self confidence, & inner anger that lead into the ideal (or not ideal) cognitive zone where peak performance is almost effortless.

Often times, external pressures can have the most detrimental effects. This could be as simple as having a scout watching a game, a spectator giving a player grief whilst taking a throw-in and such else. This creates a continual internal self-analysis that can decrease certain aspects of mental performance which leads to physical, tactical or technical breakdown (over aggression, anger, disappointment, laziness, repeated mistakes).

Its important before a game one takes the time out to clear the mind, focus on the task and go through the tried, tested and repeated pre-match rituals that work for that individual. Once that checklist is complete; the performance is the easy part.
