🎹 A glimpse of Armenian pianist Ruben Kozin performing Franz Liszt’s La Campanella at the Arno Babajanyan Concert Hall.

We’re excited to announce that Ruben’s second release, Komitas–Andreasyan | Tsirani Tsar, is now available on all streaming platforms! 🎶

🎧 Listen now on your favorite streaming platform!

The recording was created through the Recordings & Releases for Armenian Musicians 2025 project by Primavera Charitable Foundation and @prima.classic.official Record Label, in partnership with @armenopole and @philharmonia_armenia. The project helps Armenian musicians record, release, and promote their work globally while presenting well-known and reviving rarely performed Armenian repertoire.

Part of the streaming revenue will support the project and its future releases.

When we hear concerns about the declining number of students in Armenia’s music colleges and the conservatory, perhaps we need to look much earlier in the educational journey.

You cannot have enough young cellists, wind players or even violinists entering the higher education level if too few children choose these instruments and continue studying them at music schools in the first place.

This is why strengthening professional music education requires systematic, regular and long-term support at its very first level.

For students in the senior years of music school who show particular potential, their teachers need access to methodologies that allow them to go beyond the standard curriculum, supporting the preparation of these young musicians for the next step: a regional music college, the conservatory branch in Gyumri, the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory, and potentially further studies abroad.

Chamber music can be one of these tools. Although chamber ensemble is not part of the standard music-school curriculum, it can offer talented young musicians an important support for musical and professional development.

In mid-November in Yerevan, Moscow State Concervatory Professor Irina Krasotina will lead a seminar for teachers from music schools, colleges and other professional music institutions, exploring a very practical question:

How do you begin a chamber ensemble at the earliest stage of a young musician’s education?

Because strengthening the top of the educational pyramid begins by investing in its foundation.

The entrants is free, just a simple registration form - https://forms.gle/oBVQgtaQWhS9WzLi6

I wish we could pay for regional teachers’ transfer to Yerevan and back for participation, but we will film it, at least.
