FUZE x TM Arthouse - Discover our selection of 10 Works to Collect with Intention :

For its 4th edition, FUZE Caribbean Art Fair partners with TM Arthouse to present a selection curated by Vanessa Selk of 10 compelling works by Caribbean artists deserving greater international visibility and representation in public and private collections. Rather than highlighting already established names, Selk chose to shine a light on artists whose singular practices invite discovery and strengthen diverse narratives. Three conversations connect the selection:

Concealed Portraiture — Figures seen from behind, anonymous subjects, intimate objects and portraits that resist exposure.

Materiality & Complexity — Feathers, lace, wood, glass, and intricate patterns that invite us to look beyond the surface and between the spaces.

The Many Faces of Coming Home — Different perspectives on belonging, displacement, spirituality, and return, echoing this year’s theme of FUZE Art Fair.

To collect with intention is not simply to acquire what is already recognized as valuable. It is to recognize value where others have not yet learned to look.

With artworks ranging from approximately $650 to $20,000, this selection invites both new and seasoned collectors to discover, acquire, and directly support Caribbean artistic creation.

Explore the TOP 10 and acquire your favorite work directly on tmarthouse.com.
Because collecting can be more than ownership - it is an act of commitment and relation.

As I am getting ready to leave Canada, I’m reflecting on the incredible creatives I’ve met and had the pleasure of working with, pictured and not pictured, while doing curatorial and gallery work in Toronto.

I want to continue working with artists drawn to authenticity and disruption. I learned that community and being around creatives who share your values is detrimentally important to keeping your practice alive.

I began by interning at United Contemporary @unitedcontemporary working with Melanie and Rebecca, the phenomenal women running United to prepare for the summer 2025 exhibition, “Too Much Fashion” guest curated by Armova Curatorial. Through this I met Armova’s and United’s network of talented artists that were so welcoming.

I then worked at Ignite Gallery @ignitegallery at @ocaduniversity working with established and emerging artists helping install exhibitions like “Soft Power”and “Liminal Spaces” curated by Morgan Mavis and Tibi Neuspiel.

My final positions involved admin work for “Too Much Fashion” as it traveled to the FUZE Caribbean Art Fair @fuzeartfair . Finishing out I was brought on as the curatorial admin for the 2026 exhibition “When Angels Speak of Love” curated by Armova Curatorial.

Special thank you to Ilene and Byron founders and directors of Armova Curatorial @armovacuratorial . Their passion as curators and creatives is truly inspiring to be around.

Leaving Toronto is bittersweet, but I am so excited for the next chapter.

The answer to the ultimate question of life, the universe, and everything, is 42.

at least that's what this past year's lesson was. Hell of a good month to close it out.
