Anyone who has ever met me knows that I’m almost pathologically incapable of taking a compliment, but as working on @openreturn_film with @theresa_godly has been one of the joys of my life, I’ll take it! I’m so lucky that I’ll also get to work on set once the film goes into production, and I can’t wait! There aren’t many script editors who are also script supervisors, so being able to see a script all the through pre-production to actual shooting is such a privilege! Open Return is going to be great. #scriptsupervisor #scripteditor #movies #filmmaking #writer.

Recently our studio’s founder Arnaldo Stafa had the privilege of doing an interview with close up culture magazine where he talked about his unconventional journey from training in Shaolin Temple in China to having multiple films screening across the world.
We were honoured to have this interview and this incredible journey is a testament to how far Aki studios has come. We can’t wait to see where our journey will go from here but rest assured, this is only the beginning!

A NEW ADVENTURE BEGINS | DRACULA: THE CRIMSON CODE 🩸🎬

It's 8:39 am in Kent, and as we speak, a new adventure begins. Cameras are rolling on DRACULA: THE CRIMSON CODE — and yes, we're starting our next feature film before CITY OF MASKS has even reached the cinema! 😂🖤

Eighteen months ago, our little company was barely getting started. Today, we're making our second feature film in just 18 months, with a slightly bigger budget, a bigger cast and, thankfully, many of the same wonderful people who helped us get here.

For a small independent production company, that's no small achievement. And we're incredibly proud.

But here's what means the most to us: the team.

The loyalty, the trust, the shared madness and the people who keep showing up, ready to make something magical together. Every production teaches us something new. Every time, we get a little better. And somehow, we keep finding the courage to dream bigger.

🩸 WELCOME TO DRACULA: THE CRIMSON CODE

Directed by Andrea M Catinella
Written by Enrico Tessarin
Produced by Amanda Jiang, Enrico Tessarin, Andrea M. Catinella, Carla Fuschillo and Arnaldo Stafa

🎥 Director of Photography: Carla Fuschillo
🎨 Art Direction: Noa Goda
🎬 Editor: Yusuf Ziya Kaya
🎼 Music: Peter Michaels

And starring Amanda Jiang of course… alongside a few more names you might recognise. 👀

But we're not telling you who just yet. Where's the fun in that?

For now, the cameras are rolling, the coffee is flowing, and our next Gothic adventure is officially underway. ☕🩸

First, though, we have a little date with the Phantom…

🎭 CITY OF MASKS arrives in cinemas from 30 October!

Please book your tickets, support independent cinema and come and see what our team has been working so hard to create.

🎟️ BOOK HERE: www.cityofmasksmovie.co.uk/tickets

And keep your eyes open. DRACULA: THE CRIMSON CODE is coming.

Bigger ambitions. More Gothic darkness. The same team. And, hopefully, slightly fewer coffees… although we're not making any promises. 😂🖤

Watch this space. The next chapter has begun. 🩸

🎬 OFFICIAL SELECTION! 🎬

We’re proud to announce that SUNBURN has been selected for the Big Syn International Film Festival (BSIFF)! 🌍🏆

A 7-minute short film about trauma, the scars we carry, and the things we do to protect ourselves from the pain.

Inspired by the idea that, just like sunburn, emotional wounds can leave a lasting mark long after the initial pain has passed.

At Aki Studio, we believe cinema is more than entertainment. It’s a way to start conversations, challenge perspectives, and remind people that they’re not alone in what they’ve experienced.

Being selected for a festival that celebrates meaningful storytelling and films with the power to inspire change makes this recognition especially meaningful to us. ❤️

Thank you to everyone who helped bring this story to life. This journey continues! 🙌

☀️ WHAT IS YOUR SUNBURN?

What experience has left a lasting mark on you, and how have you learned to live with it?

👇 Share your thoughts in the comments. Your story might help someone feel less alone.
