🌬️ El vent de Mestral ja ha arribat a Palamós.

Aquest cap de setmana hem celebrat l’inici d’aquest projecte amb una ruta de 95 km juntament amb @granfondocommunity , fent parada al Mestral per compartir una degustació i presentar tot el que està per venir.

Perquè Mestral és molt més que un restaurant: és mar, comunitat i moments per compartir davant del Mediterrani.

Des d’avui, oberts cada dia al Mur, al cor de Palamós. 🌊✨

Say hello to Factor Racing. We got together for the first time as a group yesterday, making the most of everyone’s presence in Girona ahead of Santa Vall. Factor Racing has been a bit of a project for me this past year, building it out, shaping the direction of it, choosing the riders. It’s ended up being one of the favourite parts of my job at Factor. It’s taken following races to a whole new level, as the recent Atlas Mountains Race proved, I can’t even remember when I was so invested in following a race. Thank you @victorbozo and @watt_wagon - that was intense. This weekend is @santavall_ and we’ll have ten riders on the start line, I’m so excited, it’s ridiculous. Let’s go.

A race-season on the bike to forget.. I sustained an injury at the start of the year which I chose to ignore the advice of others and rode through to the point of stupidity. You would think of after 20 years of being an athlete you would know the point of when enough is enough but hey.. I fucking love to train. As much as I love competing and preparing for events like @thetraka 360 there’s far more to life than racing them under poor health and not accepting reality.

I decided quite quickly to cut the season short and dedicate some time with family during important times. Family always helps with perspective. Racing will always be a part of my life but it should never define an athlete. Sure -be disappointed.. but not for long.. channel it into something else and prepare for the next thing. Enjoy the important things and don’t be so hard on yourself over the little things. Life is good. Cya at the bike races next year.. Maybe a marathon soon to keep us rolling ?
