here are some more shots from our delightful event, a day filled with healing activities from smashing pieces to crafting creations and sipping calming teas infused with special herbs from the Aegean coast.

we extend our heartfelt thanks to the 20 special attendees who joined us, creating cherished memories and raising awareness for a great cause. A big thank you to Forest House for hosting and sharing the love of ‘Mother Earth.’ Forest House’s mission is crucial to us, as we share their goal of rejuvenating nature in urban areas, transforming concrete spaces into thriving parks. This crowd-funded initiative dreams of creating the UK’s first public swimming ponds cleaned by reeds and aquatic plants, alongside vital community and educational spaces. If you haven’t already, please sign the petition to support this vision.

with Hydra Edition, we pooled our creative energies to design the entire house setting and ceramics workshop. Hydra Edition enhanced the space with their signature beeswax candles, conscious fabrics, and delicious bites and sips. Another thanks for curating my ceramic pieces along with my photography.

thank you Arnitikos, for initiating this idea and connecting Forest House and its’ special cause with all of us.

a special thanks to all the attendees who shared their talents and warm hearts through clay making.

Our exhibition, which we opened with great excitement, featuring artists, including myself, will continue until December 22nd. Read the description for details..
•
“Times Are Changing, And I Am Changing With You” comes together from selected pieces of eight artists who aim to reflect the concept of change and adaptation through their materials and preferred canvases.

Inspired by Albert Camus’s existential masterpiece ‘The Stranger’, Kristina Aliberti, Emilie Coste, Fiona von Furstenberg, Beatrice Galletley, Jack Joiner, Halise Karakaya, Rory Rae and Tutu Tugce Sonmez illustrate the evolving landscapes of human experience and the indifferent nature of the world through sculpture, photography and paintings.

“Times Are Changing, And I Am Changing With You” explores how inevitable change illuminates an artist’s path and resonates with the viewer’s personal journey. These artists from diverse backgrounds bring forth works that reflect the constant flux in our lives, echoing the novel’s themes of existentialism, isolation, and search for meaning. The artworks challenge perceptions,
inviting viewers to confront the familiar and the unknown.
The show is curated by Tutu Tugce Sonmez and Emilie Coste, with the exhibition design overseen by Selcuk Sepici, and visual designs managed by Elif Gengor. It will be held from the 8th – 22nd December in the historic industrial and trade centre of London’s Borough Market. This location provides a fitting backdrop for this exhibition as it is situated at the heart of a city that has seen the industrial changes over time. Some of these artists you will have the opportunity to meet at the show have set their studios in disaffected buildings of this everchanging industrial neighbourhood.

I'm still questioning last Saturday. Was it real, or was it a dream?

I can’t quite put into words how I feel. It was an absolute blast, a testament to what highly talented people can achieve together. These are the faces behind our great success and I am so grateful to have captured their portraits (apart from Francesca's). Each one is now a remarkable piece of @vo_t_ax history.

And of course, none of this would have been possible without our gorgeous crowd. You’re all so precious!

I must take a moment to thank a special friend @denizseverm . His knowledge of electronic music commands my utmost respect and appreciation. Much of what I know about this genre, I owe to him. He's a hidden gem in DJing, but I guess he's not so hidden anymore...
I’m lucky to know him, not just in making Vo-t-ax a reality but also as a friend. Long may this continue!

And a huge thanks to @arnitikos_

We can't wait to organise the next episode and bring more creative souls together. Your beautiful comments and support mean everything. Thank you!

Do follow the artists involved to keep updated on their upcoming work:

Thank you for your presence at the preview of Not Black or White.

NOT BLACK OR WHITE is a new contemporary art, craft and design exhibition at SoShiro Gallery in Marylebone, London, featuring a collective of creatives from Africa and the UK who have reimagined the traditional use of colour and material.

These creatives are visual story tellers who have looked to their heritage, the natural environment, and personal narratives to activate their remarkable skills, exploration work and creativity.
There is a sense of raw storytelling and palpable emotion that can be felt from the pieces they have created.
On show will be paintings, textiles, sculptures and design pieces in glass, metal, and wood – a total of over 60 works created in London, South Africa, Burkina Faso, the Ivory Coast, and other African countries.

The works on show are a testament to the many global, community and individual human aspects that need to be learnt, supported, and celebrated.
