Tralee: Visually just an absolutely stunning course. Arnold Palmer turned in a gem. He stated “I designed the front and God designed the back”. Unfortunately I never made it to the back. It fell on the worst weather day of trip and according to the caddies the worst they’d had all summer. There was no such thing as “waterproof” rain gear on this day. After fighting off the stomach bug early in the trip and the inch of water in my shoes I just simply didn’t have 9 more in me at the turn. This will haunt me until my inevitable return to this magnificent course.

Happy Birthday, Mr. Palmer. 🎉

From growing up as a greenskeeper’s son in Latrobe, Pennsylvania, to becoming one of the most recognizable figures in sports, Arnold Palmer never lost sight of where he came from or the values that shaped him.

No matter how far the game took him, his work ethic, character, and generosity remained at the heart of who he was.

Today, we celebrate Mr. Palmer and his lasting impact, one that continues to be felt far beyond the game of golf.

Join us by sharing your favorite #ArnoldPalmer memories and photos as we celebrate his birthday.
