Welp, per usual I suck at taking photos. So we had to snap one to commemorate our bib gourmand!

@michelinguide maybe next time we do this at Bridgestone so we can bring all the folks who truly make these places special.

Much love to all of our guests who continue to pile in line, and all of our friends in Nashville that saw some love too. We love you Nashville

The perfect American restaurant exists. Open since 1982 (but doing a similar thing as Lynn’s Cafeteria before), Arnold’s is a traditional lunch-only ‘meat & three’ canteen, which to the British eye feels not dissimilar to school dinners, complete with red plastic trays. Kind of like a diner but not quite a diner, the walls are lined with photos of Nashville country music legends, and I’m the kind of sucker who orders the (exceptional) meatloaf as soon as I’m told it was John Prine and Porter Wagoner’s favourite (Dolly Parton always ordered chicken livers, but that’s on Dolly). Southern comfort sides (the ‘three’ part of ‘meat & three’) include charred Brussels sprouts charred in all the right places and heaven in creamed corn form. There are green beans, turnip greens and muffin-like pucks of cornbread. The wildly hearty menu changes every day and it’s all made from scratch. A side of roast beef big enough to feed a family of six also arrives. Have lunch here and there’s absolutely no need for dinner later. Breakfast the next day is also optional. There is sweet tea by the gallon, and hot cinnamon bread pudding puts us in a coma for the next two hours. Paradise.

Send this to the friend you’re making fall plans with. 🍂🤎

October in Nashville means coffee before a neighborhood walk, a dinner reservation you’ve been meaning to make, and finally putting those fall plans on the calendar.

I pulled together my Autumn Guide with local favorites, upcoming spots to watch, pumpkin outings, and neighborhoods worth exploring for Halloween decorations.

A few stops inside:
☕️ Coffee @surefirecoffeeco in Germantown
🍝 A cozy dinner at @caffenonnanashville in Sylvan Park
🍷 Community Hour at @lockelandtable in East Nashville
🍽️ An evening @cityhouse_nashville or Urban Grub
🛍️ Local finds at @livegoodbetterbest in The Nations
🎃 @cheekwood , pumpkin farms & a Saturday at Richland Park Farmers Market
Whether you’ve lived here for years or this is your first Nashville fall, I hope this gives you a few new plans—and a reason to explore another neighborhood.

Save it for your next free weekend and send it to your coffee-date, dinner-date, or pumpkin-patch person. 🤍

What local spot would you add?
