9th PLACE Tenerife & another event victory for @linaerpenstein !

The last 2 weeks have been intense fun & filled with windsurfing so much I didn’t even have time to catch up on the amazing @tenerifewindsurfworldcup event @danybruch & his wife put on.

It was the best setup I have seen till now of the event & gets me exited for next year already!

Competition wise I dropped to 9th after missing out by 0.05 on the top 8, I felt like I run a fairly good heat for the conditions but couldn’t find a 3rd wave to really seal the deal making me loose out on the top 8 in the last seconds… was a bit hard to digest but on the otherside having only sailed 4 days before the comp & still not being 100% I’m already happy I could compete & put on a good show and finish another time higher in the rankings than any event last year.

Further more I had not much time to be sad as I prepared for the final with @linaerpenstein
later that day where she smashed out a stellar performance to defend her first place finish of the single to take home her second event victory ever & first double elimination win!

It’s amazing & motivating to see her progress over the last 1,5 years since we teamed up to chase the world title dream.

One step closer yet with 2 more contest to come all is still on the line so no time to celebrate yet.

Thanks to all who made it such a great event. Thanks to @d10.fisioyosteo & @muevete.con.conciencia to get me ready in time and thanks to all the support crew on the beach!

Thanks to @severnewindsurfing for light big wave gear that makes 18 - 20 knots feel like fun & the continuing support!

Thanks to @photomedano & @jcwindsurf for the shots and @pwaworldtour & @aalvaamedia for running the contest and media! Top notch ones again!

Big shout out to @playasurtenerife for the welcoming & closing drinks next to supporting the event!

An update on my intro into wave camp that I just run will come tomorrow, all I can say it was one amazing week ones again with a few new wave sailors out there now!
