A quick conversation with @aroseymoon

Founder of @aretepro and CEO of @simplyorganicofficial about creating beauty with intention.

Ashley is helping push our industry forward through cleaner ingredients, sustainability, innovation and a belief that beautiful results shouldn’t have to come at the expense of the people or planet behind them. (Simply Organics)

A little BTS conversation from our weekend at BTC.

It was a great weekend celebrating the artistry of our industry at Behind the Chair! Just a small glimpse of the memories, new connections and reconnections made.

Sometimes you spend years searching…and then you look up and realize you’ve found it. Suddenly, all the little pieces start coming together. That’s what finding ARETÉ feels like for me. 🤍

For years I tried different organic color lines, searching for something that felt more aligned with the way I try to live the rest of my life.

I wanted clean…but I also wanted beautiful. I wanted performance. Richness. Glow. Those soft, romantic tones that make me fall in love with doing hair all over again.

And then I found @aretepro

Getting to teach at the ARETÉ booth at the @behindthechair_com @thebtcshow , creating this glowing, romantic look with some of the tones I adore most, was one of those pinch me moments where something you’ve hoped for is suddenly right there in front of you. 🥹

To go from searching for a hair color line I could really believe in to standing there sharing it with other hairstylists at one of the biggest hair education events…was so incredibly special!

Beyond grateful to ARETÉ for having me, for believing in what I have to share, for creating something that lets me make really beautiful hair without having to compromise on the things that matter to me 🌿

It feels a little like the search has found its home…and now we get to dream about how much bigger it can become. 🤍

For an industry that can sometimes feel really divided online, it felt completely different in person.

People were laughing.
Connecting.
Supporting each other.
Having FUN.

And honestly, it felt like everyone was a little tired of the drama.

Maybe what our industry wants right now isn’t another opinion about what’s wrong with it.

Maybe we just want community again.

More connection… less commentary!

So long Louisiana. We golfed, cooked, laughed (& cried). We hosted for the holidays, threw a NOLA bachelorette party, finally learned how to edit a YouTube video, ordered drive through daiquiris before an epic game of laser tag & even experienced a snow day.

You were a random couple of years that humbled me to my core & makes moving back to Cali that much sweeter. Shoutout to @cjpayne1122 (who won’t see this) for always making military moves an adventure no matter where they take us. 🤍

✨2025 HIGHLIGHT✨ Highly recommend you happen to have a dance studio owner friend who cuts together a hyper specific audio introducing all your childhood & college besties one by one down a grand staircase as they embody all of your eras (iykyk) throughout the years. 👌🏼

Everyone should be truly surprised by something at least once in life & this was mine. I laughed until I cried at all of the little details they incorporated that had me falling out of my chair (Amanda’s relic of an Avicii glove nearly killed me) & it made me feel so loved. Shoutout to all my fellow reinvention artists out there.🤎

Newest era coming summer 2026. New city, new me. Cheers to whatever is next! 🏙️🥂
