The iconic green 1995 Mitsubishi Eclipse driven by Brian O'Conner (Paul Walker) in the first *The Fast and the Furious* movie holds several secrets—both behind the scenes and within the story itself.

For the action and street racing sequences, the installed nitrous oxide (NOS) system was purely cosmetic and did not actually boost the vehicle's power.

The Eclipse's distinctive engine note and roaring sounds in the film did not come from a factory Mitsubishi engine; instead, the audio was mixed and adapted during post-production.

Brian first uses the car—while going by the alias "Brian Earl Spilner"—to practice in the Dodger Stadium parking lot before infiltrating the illegal racing scene.

Its time on the big screen was short-lived: after earning Dominic Toretto's respect, the car is riddled with bullets and destroyed in an unforgettable explosion caused by Johnny Tran and his gang.

It featured a modified interior, racing bucket seats, a custom roll cage, underglow neon lighting, and a custom sound system with amplifiers.

The car is located at the @petersenmuseum and is owned by @fastandfuriousintegra

A little mock-up of the @arperformancefr front splitter for the GR. The @racebredcomponents frame mounted quick release splitter brackets arrived today. Undecided if I am going to back this splitter with birch plywood or not.
