And that’s a wrap on the KARLA pop-up series!

What a journey it’s been. From the first event to the last, we’ve brought together so many incredible people through food, music, art and a shared love of creating something a little different.

A huge thank you to every chef, artist, DJ, collaborator and friend who gave their time, energy and creativity to make these events what they were. And to everyone who came down, supported us and became part of it along the way, I couldn’t be more grateful.

What started as a little idea has grown into something much bigger than I imagined. The friendships, connections and community we’ve built are what make it all so special, and I can’t wait to carry that spirit into the next chapter.

Now onto something we’ve been working towards for a very long time… PAM!

A new home for all the food, music, creativity and wonderful people we’ve met along the way.

The pop-ups might be over, but this is only the beginning.

See you at PAM!

KARLA + Friends ❤️

We all have moments where doubt creeps in and we question ourselves. I know I do. I’m incredibly lucky to have people around me who remind me who I am, build me up and keep me moving forward.

Looking around that room was emotional. I felt so proud of everyone I’ve met along the way, each with their own voice, world and way of expressing it.

To those who have been there from the beginning, who believed in me and helped shape what this is becoming, thank you. I’ve taken a little bit of each of you with me.

And to those joining us now, you’re part of what we’re creating next.

What connects us is simple: creative curiosity without judgement, generosity, and a genuine desire to lift one another up.

KARLA + Friends brought all of that into one space through food, music, creativity and friendship. More than anything, it felt like the start of a community where we can champion each other’s ideas, celebrate the wins and make something rooted in openness and love.

Thank you to everyone who gave their time and energy, and to everyone who came and shared the day with us.

Friends new and old, I’m so excited to see where we take this together.

It meant more than you’ll ever realise.

Very proud. Very grateful.

And this is only the beginning. ❤️

If you are a gringo and never heard of empanadas in your life, they are basically little hand pies, very popular in Argentina, and the vegan ones by @arquitos.ldn are delicious. They got my Latina seal of approval 🤭 The pastry is thin and delicate and they don’t hold back on the filling. 10/10 ⭐️
You can get them via post or at the @themuddy_puddle

Medio borrosas, pero quedó el registro. A bit blurry, but the memory stays. A few snaps of what was ‘Cero a la Izquierda’

Our second edition is coming soon, save the date for Saturday 30th of May. We are having a special one with two acts that we personally enjoy a lot.

We’ve just had an amazing little empanada party at home, courtesy of plant-based newcomers, @arquitos.ldn (ad | gifted)
🌱
Currently available to pick up from Stoke Newington’s @themuddy_puddle , these empanadas are full of flavour, beautifully packaged and ready to bake at home (as well as being available to cafes, restaurants and caterers). Also available at @wearewaveldn !
🌱
Included here:
🌱
🤍 Parmi - aubergine, chopped tomatoes, fresh basil, and homemade cashew rawmesan
💚 Broccoleek - broccoli and leak in a creamy vegan rendition, with homemade blue cheez and chives (Chris loves them all, but these were his favourite)
❤️ Chimi Jack - smokey jackfruit meets spicy chimichurri (if I had to pick, these were my winners)
💛 Humita - creamy sweetcorn - an Argentine speciality
🖤 Creamy Mushroom - garlicky mushrooms in a white sauce with garden peas and a peppery punch (we’re both mushroom fans, so this was a hit)
