Ivy’s first 2000 Trees. We’ve waited what feels like forever to be in our favourite place in the world as a family. She loved it, and I’m so grateful to all of these wonderful people who made the whole weekend (and Ivy’s morning) so special for us all. Already committed to 2027. LFG! Some highlights (not in chronological order):

1. Watching @budsfullstop with Mummy
2. Exploring
3. Saturday crew watching @therockbandcalled_a
4. @vinniecaruana in The Forest making dreams come true
5. Friday (and weekend) crew. @rehughes0713 cut out by Instagram (sorry!)
6. The innocent dinosaurs that crushed me in a dinosaur pile-up during @dpuofficial
7. @karlficarottasolo and Mollie Dibley with the late nite vibes
8. Fun at home with Granny while we were off gallivanting
9. Obligatory family photo. The first of a lifetime’s worth

i think I may print and frame this.

I mean, we often dwell on our pain and problems, feeling the fight in many of our days , often succumbing to the idea of a tortured life. And life is hard. But instead, what if we be thankful for the lessons learned and the triumphs gained when we moved , with bravery and stoicism, through those periods ?

This the last photo taken at the very last @portalsrock festival at @earthackney back in May. (gigs will still continue). It was an enjoyable weekend but also tough one - I had some personal stuff going on and was (unknown to me) at the point of burn out with work. Difficult times can also often mean an opportunity to be taught something, reframe something or lean into something we have been ignoring. I see now the lessons at hand and im grateful.

anyway - what an awesome festival and a privilege to have been asked to photograph the results of the passion , expertise and dedication of the team. Epic line ups and quite simply a beautiful crowd every year :)

Home…. After another EPIC weekend at @portalsrock festival, it’s time to chill for a bit before the mammoth task of sorting through all the photos, typing up the review for @thesleepingshaman , and then work on the interview I did with the lovely @worldcoda while I was there this weekend… thank you @asherkenton Sam Festenstein and @arranoakes for everything, all the hard work, time, and love you’ve put in to Portals festivals over the years, you guys are awesome!!! Also, thank you @sprigletthesprightly for a great weekend, it’s been truly memorable ❤️❤️ #portals #portalsfestival2025 #thesleepingshaman #worldcoda

Happy 10th Birthday @arctangentfestival
I had a fantastic time working with everyone and made some great friends.

Working with @barneysound and @matias.cpa at Bixler stage was so much fun, and working on Main Stage, Yohkai and PX3 as well.

Thanks to @kerenza_pickett for this amazing opportunity to work both ATG and @2000trees_festival this year and which I look forward to work in years to come.

Did that thing I sometimes do where I carry the stuff to help the bands make noise. 12/10 would do again. #ATG

A truly breath taking wedding a few years back at @bruisyardhall for @thehayleyloren and Matts wedding.
Beautiful people, glorious weather and to my absolute delight, stunning food which included the bbq I was very kindly invited to attend the next day!
Thankyou to @arranoakes for recommending my services and again to the bride and groom for trusting me to create these memories for you x

And last but not least it's Arran's choices.
Well, there you go, that's the Team Portals favourite albums of the year done.
Do you agree with us? Is there anything we've missed?
Keep an eye out for the next Portals Festival announcement in January...you might just find one of the artists from our top 5 lists in it.
