Watching the space between two bodies
wolf<>lamb, shot with @arrison.ree — Anise & Liam

wolf<>lamb examines the fluid oscillation of power within intimate but unstable relationships, tracing the subtle, often imperceptible shifts that take place between two bodies in proximity. It considers how dominance and vulnerability are not fixed positions, but states in constant and perpetual negotiation, folding into one another in continuous exchange — sometimes quiet, other times loud and violent. Even within tender moments exists an undercurrent of fight for control: a reaching, a recalibration, a desire to stabilize oneself against the ambiguity of the other. Intimacy, in times of uncertainty, becomes less a site of resolution and more a terrain of tension, where surrender and dominance coexist, often indistinguishably. The images are constructed through a lens that feels intimate and voyeuristic, positioning the viewer as both participant and observer. This perspective invites an awareness of the quiet gestures and silent negotiations unfolding, rendering visible the delicate choreography of power and passion that might otherwise go unnoticed.

„I‘m a different person on Tuesday’s“ for @polyesterzine with @arrison.ree

When Alley told me about her idea of a shooting regarding an article she was writing where she reflects on womanhood, especially the one that is slightly hidden, I was directly transported into my own childhood and teenage years. Growing up, playing adult. Masking. Dressing up. Dancing weirdly in my room. I still have rituals to this day. Still dance weirdly in my room or talk to myself before important events. Doing so, I think we learn and grow self-esteem especially as woman. We’re playful. Whimsy and funny to those we allow in.

This whole shooting felt like those meet-ups with a friend - dressing up, posing, exploring and having fun - which is probably why these pictures feel so human, female and near to me.

SOMEDAY, SOMEWHERE.
every now and then, i get pulled toward a thousand places. i dream of scenarios where “in another life… i could be”. last year, while in japan, i had these pulls. so i wrote a short script for a motion piece to explore these feelings. i pitched it to @tavianord and @arrison.ree over a couple of late night drinks, and a week later, we shot it all in one big day. thank to everyone for making this project come to life. thank you to @joannamiwako for being 5 people in one day, and to the rest of the team for making this what it was. making fun shit with ya friends and their friends never gets old, yea yea.
