. Some motion grabs from a very personal project did long back. Not a usual writer person but have to say a few about this . It all started with @himanshu.c_ calling us over to @arnavgshah ‘s old place where we sat and just randomly threw some ideas about the music he had and @rhea.mov_ came up with this thought about not showing the characters much on screen by showing them. And then it was a long way . A super indie machine pushed by alot of hands with which this was not even possible . One such huge hand was @arsamidrisi who always shows up no matter what. @leilaabythemood as always so sweet and patient with us and @tusharchhibber bringing in the feel to the project . Through this we had peaks and sorrow and conflict and everything between us that is possible in a project like this. But F yeah it was fun. One day @arnavgshah told me that there’s a music video he’s planning to do with @_sur_yaaa_ on a beautiful track by @himanshu.c_ who’s planning to release his EP. I jumped into it, no second thoughts. Before we knew anything more or less, it turned out to be a Goa trip amongst friends. Who minds a Goa trip with friends? But this is a Goa trip that not only made it out of the group chat, but ended up in a music video. I was nervous, not going to lie. Taking on responsibilities has been my forte, but you know it’s real when on a set even the colour of the flower is something that depends on you. I’ve learnt and loved storytelling from the best (shoutout to my backbone, AM - Sir, we’d be nothing without you) which while was some sort of comfort but also came in with huge expectations. I don’t know if we’re there, but I know we tried. We tried with all honesty, heart and hard-work poured into these 5 minutes 24 seconds. Music & storytelling are two of the most beautiful things in my life. I live by them. To have the two combined in my first, is always going to be so special. And what makes it more special is that my closest people just walked by my side, constantly told me they believed in me - and here we are! There were moments of chaos, disagreements, many many delays, tears of joy and laughter, but the love for art somehow made sure we were all in this together. Fav. Restaurant is a song that takes you back to something.. someone.. sometime.. it is a familiar yet fuzzy feeling. It is a warm hug on a winter morning, cup of chai in the monsoons & like the first rain after months of heat. 4 hours for this labour of love to be all yours. We were lucky to have a beautiful people with us through this musical journey. From the core of my heart, I thank each one of you who’s been a part of this. Y’ll know who you are. Hope you enjoy watching it, as much as we did making it. BIGGEST LOVE TO MY HOMEBOY @arnavgshah : for being there without any questions, and with all trust since Day 1. This would be nowhere without you. To @_sur_yaaa_ @leilaabythemood @tusharchhibber for making this look so beautiful. And ofc, @himanshu.c_ for trusting us with your song.
