A memorable evening with Arthur Stockel & Friends at the Mosel Musikfestival!

French clarinetist Arthur Stockel, soloist with the Orchestre Philharmonique du Luxembourg since age 21, brought his virtuosity and passion to an all-Brahms program:

Sonata No. 1 in F minor, Op. 120 No. 1
Trio for Clarinet, Cello & Piano, Op. 114

Joined by Hanna Salzenstein (cello) and Manuel Vieillard (piano), this performance is part of a multi-year project exploring Brahms‘ complete late clarinet works, building toward a double album dedicated to this intimate, deeply expressive repertoire.

🇱🇺🎶 D’Regioun kucken. D’Welt lauschteren.

Oh, Marlboro… your hills are pretty as a picture, your music sweeter still. 🤍🎵🌲🦌⚽️☀️🌿

“These are my mountains, my valleys,
These are my rivers flowing like a song,
These are my people, my memories,
These are my mountains, this is my home.

…Time for stoppin’, makin’ time for family…
Friends and neighbors, and you know ’em all by name…

…Not ready to leave it all behind, say goodbye and walk away.

The future tells me, ‘Go,’ but my mountain heart says, ‘Stay.’

My home is a place where the mountain streams roll on,
My home is a place of laughter, love, and song.

These are my mountains,
These are my people,
These are my memories,
These are my mountains, this is my home.”

— Dolly Parton, “My Mountains, My Home” (2009)

Marlboro 2026

All I can say is that Marlboro is the only place I have been in my life that I would truly consider “magical.”

I have so much love and respect for everyone here - it was such a privilege to play, play, and live with all of you.
