fallow 🦋
summer 26

I have been thinking a lot of fire and water
to submit to the flow
to spill out of my hands and water the soils
of ash that holds the memories i breathe in

as our climate continues to spiral i grow ever aware of the changes i see, to plant a tree today that may not reach
but we are stewards to a land that yearns to bear our fruits, to burn and come back anew

⚡️ BTS Librarian Bundle ⚡️

Educators, researchers, university libraries, and Techno historians have been requesting access to our research since the beginning of our journey. Now for the first time the BTS - Librarian bundle is now available on our Kickstarter Campaign!

Supporters of the BTS Librarian Bundle tier will receive:

A DVD Copy of God Said Give ‘Em Drum Machines
A Signed Copy of GSGEDM: The Book
A Digital Copy of GSGEDM: The Score
An early invite to the GSGEDM Discord Server, where we will come together with Techno Fans to talk about the Past, Present and Future of Techno Music.
A digital Download of GSGEDM The Book,
A historic Techno playlist inspired by selections from the Techno originators back in the 1980s and
A GSGEDM Poster screensaver.

This is a critical moment to take action. As attempts to erase Black history and critical race theory intensify, the need to keep Detroit’s legacy alive in classrooms and libraries have never been more urgent. “God Said Give ’Em Drum Machines” isn’t just a film—it’s now a vital teaching tool bringing history, innovation, and culture directly to education.

Every pledge to our Kickstarter defends Black history, amplifies Detroit’s creative voices, and supports the development of educational tools to put in the hands of the next generation.

Support our campaign at the link in our bio or comment ⚡️ for a link in your DM’s and join the movement to preserve and teach Techno History for coming generations.

For nearly 15 years, we’ve poured every ounce of our passion, determination, and resources into saving a story the world could far too easily forget: the original Techno music from Detroit, born of Black genius and unstoppable vision. From Tribeca’s sold-out premiere to film and music festivals, universities, museums, and library screenings around the globe, we’ve carried this film and our research everywhere—determined that the real history will be accessible for generations to come.
Now, at a moment when the current administration is working to silence, censor, and rewrite vital stories, this mission is nothing less than urgent. Independence is everything. The window is closing, and with it, the risk of Detroit’s truth being erased grows ever greater.

Through a breakthrough partnership between Kickstarter and Tubi, we finally have the once-in-a-lifetime chance to make our film available to everyone in North America, the UK, Australia, and New Zealand for a limited time—FREE (ad-supported), uncensored, with our world streaming premiere on Friday, November 7th.

But we need your help—right now—to cross the finish line. Without raising the final funds for licensing, this years-in-the-making, community-powered debut cannot happen.
Every share, every pledge, every word of support is a pledge to keep Black history visible, to make sure Detroit’s sound and spirit reaches those who need it most, and to refuse to let any power rewrite our story.

Drop a ⚡️ in the comments and we’ll DM you the Kickstarter link. Stand with us, and together let’s give the world access to Detroit’s heartbeat—before this chance disappears. The time is now.
