My single ‘Half of Me’ comes out in TWO DAYS! It’s so crazy to see this lil guy take his maiden voyage out into the world. I’m forever in debt to all of the amazing humans that helped make this special project come to its final form. From the homies that lived with me back when I wrote this song in 2019 at @the_ark_arts, to brothers in @otc_collective who workshopped and played this song live during our first years as a band. Special thanks to @nieltsewma.otc for his unwavering dedication to all of the projects under the OTC umbrella and the time spent hitting record and ensuring the highest quality audio from all the musicians featured on this track-
@tobi.otc (bass)
@sje.otc (gtr and mando) @nieltsewma.otc (drums)
@funkrock_steady (sax)
@bookstorecat.phi (gtr and banjo)

Once the performance was locked and edited I sent it off to @khanti.me to mix it all pretty-like, then @ian.makes.music polished it off with an incredible master.

The sonic character of ‘Half of Me’ was then visually interpreted by the mastermind @c.hristopherkim (musicvideo director, cameraman, and editor)

And the cover art was painted by @art.by_egg the only person I may ever trust to paint a portrait of my face

Never in a million years did I think that so many incredible people would be willing to offer their time and craft to my lil old sad boy songs. Forever grateful 💜

This track has had many different meanings through its life cycle. From dealing with unhealthy co-dependence, to chasing after an ideal version of yourself. I hope that ‘Half of Me’ brings you deep comfort as you embrace the growing pains that life springs upon you just as writing and producing it did for me.

Check out this amazing work from @art.by_egg she made for our art trade, a bunch of awesome anime references mixed into one colored pencil drawing of an original character. And then 2 extra smaller prints from HxH cuz she’s the best. So glad we did this trade, I wanna do more in the future!

Never got a chance to post this until now because I was keeping it a secret, here is a mixed media piece that made as an art trade for my friend @art.by_egg . I really like using chains as a motif in my work, and I was in a mood to try and do something with a mask that day. The chains and mask are all marker, flowers are colored pencil and the background was acrylic paint all done on tan sketchbook paper. I don’t do a lot of mixed media stuff but this one was really fun, and I can’t wait to see what I get from @art.by_egg !
