🌕 A celebration of the moon, food, and the cultures that connect us.

For this collaboration with @art_neverath, we wanted to explore Mid-Autumn traditions across Vietnam, Korea, China and Japan, bringing together the foods and drinks that represent each of us.

I created the initial sketch and composition, along with the Vietnamese bánh dẻo & lotus tea, Korean songpyeon & omija tea, and Chinese mooncake & osmanthus tea.

@art_neverath (Florian) created the 3D-rendered background and Japanese elements: Tsukimi and matcha/green tea, before bringing both of our work together into the final piece.

These four cultures have a special connection to us. I’m predominantly Vietnamese with Chinese heritage, and is married to a Korean, while Florian is based in Japan. Rather than representing the Mid-Autumn season through just one tradition, we wanted to celebrate the different ways the moon, food and family are cherished across parts of Asia. 🌕✨

Happy Mid-Autumn season! 🥮🍵

A drawing for the DTIYS challenge by @art_neverath 🍔

Was really fun!! I don’t usually draw a lot of savory foods, so this is a nice change of pace :))) The drawing is loosely inspired by the Shake Shack burger, but with added jalapeños (for extra spice) and a bear bun (for extra cuteness)…I want to eat it irl now 😆

Hope to do more challenges in the future :)!

hopping on to this #dtiyschallenge by @art_neverath . this burger is filled with juicy and earthy mushrooms, on top of a piece of hashbrown and a piece of fried chicken. not forgetting some green lettuce and the cheese sauce. so sinful but it's so good.

Mission accomplished! Time to rest and stare at a blank wall.

How does this chicken burger taste?

My first time participating in a DTIYS challenge, hosted by @artmuu. Hope you like my version!
