Get to know the artists of XIII Florence Biennale, Fortezza da Basso 23-31 October 2021 โ€ข Art by Austa Lea โ€ข โ€œIโ€™m a self-thought artist based in Denmark. I have my root placed deeply in the Icelandic soil. Iโ€™m inspired by the Icelandic uncompromising nature that doesnโ€™t take into account the people who live there. The sun does not always shine - and in the winter, darkness dominates. Nature is full of contrasts and for me Iceland is completely unique because of this. I am attracted to the very special energy the volcanic island possesses, and it forms for me associations to the human mind, where there is not always light to be found, and where joy sometimes can be obscured by darkness and wind. Nature is important to me. Therefore, Iโ€™m also very concerned about our environments health and how we treat our planet! I paint on canvas with acrylic and oil- I also work with liquid art and resin. Itโ€™s all about the detailโ€. โ€“ Austa Lea @artbyausta #florencebiennale #artist #austalea #contemporaryart #contemporaryartists #art #fineart #painting #artwork #florence #artexhibition #florencebiennale2021
