“This photo was taken 9 years ago, but the message still echoes louder than ever. I sat in front of art that reflected the struggle, the resilience, and the brilliance of our people—Dr. King, Rosa Parks, and the fight for justice in between. I didn’t know then where my journey would take me, but I knew I was built for it. Every setback, every step forward, every role I’ve played—on screen and in life—has been about honoring this legacy and adding my own voice to the movement. Keep pushing. Keep creating. Keep showing up. ✊🏾🎨 #LegacyLiving #BlackExcellence #PurposeDr

Just wrapped an amazing conversation on The Breakfast Club—can’t wait for you to see it. We went deep, kept it real, and talked about building real power.

Grab The Real Black Agenda at the link in my bio or DM me “COACH” to start your own blueprint.

So you believe in democracy? If the majority ruled, Gore would’ve been President in 2000 and Hillary in 2016. But guess what? They weren’t. Until we start voting with our wallets and actions, we’ll stay in the dark. Remember how Ice Cube and Dr. Claude Anderson were called sellouts for approaching both Trump and Biden-Harris? Trump actually responded. Biden-Harris said ‘after the election’ and never met with Ice Cube. Why? Because they got your vote without lifting a finger. Wake up, people! Comment ‘BULLY’ if you’re tired of the lies and ready for real change. #DemocracyDeception #BlackVoices #StayWoke #RealTalk #VoteWisely

Father | Son | God Father

Happy Birthday Fellow King 👑 . Couldn’t have hoped/prayed for a better influence and mentor on Sean-Michael as a God Father. You’ve been my brother 27 years 💪🏾. You’ve been an Exceptional godparent for the last 17. I couldn’t be more proud of you in all your endeavors. I appreciate and love you brother.

Last chance!

Last weekend to come out and support our youngest artists!

Tomorrow from 9am - 12pm or this Saturday from 12pm to 5pm! We are also open on Sunday from 10am to 12pm!

Plenty of opportunities to stop by and acquire some beautiful art! Only four available works of art remain, friends!

Hey! Our first reel! How did we do? Thank you, Nikole for the nudge in creating one. Zoe! You rock! Thanks for choosing the music. You’re so hip. 😉 And, thank you to my friend for sharing this video from the exhibition! It captures the absolute amazing energy that was in the gallery that day!

“Brushstrokes Conceptualized”

“Brushstrokes Conceptualized: Through the Eyes of the Artist’s Child”

Exhibition Dates: July 17, 2021 – August 6, 2021

Curated by Kelsey Holloway and Valerie Gillespie, this exhibition invites young artists to explore self, community, life, and culture through a variety of mediums as we celebrate the pure heart and imagination of the artist’s child.

Color in its simplest form attributes to the physicality of one’s identity and traits. This often can define who we are on the surface and gives us narratives to share with the world. Children have the unique ability to see both aspects of humanity, the physical attributes as well as the inner core of one’s being. Through brushstrokes of color, young artists were encouraged to create works on canvas to share in this exhibition that celebrates the magnificence of the artist’s child, inside and out. This youth group exhibition will seek to show work in 2D forms that exemplify the beauty of the brushstroke and the conceptualization of the young artistic eye.

Reception Date: July 17, 2021, 3pm - 5pm

Young Artists: Akeelah Abrams, Alice & Lola Mathis, Bailey & Riley Holloway, Camille Blair, Finn & Ruby Jones, Halle, Rising & Rhema Huckaby, Lola Savoie, Jameson Bartlett, Lilly Childs, Malakai Nance, Marley Taylor, Natalia Moore, Tesla Biggers, and Zoe Gillespie

Save the Date! July 17! 3pm!
