My favorite stop this summer. The vineyard. Salty air, gingerbread cottages, and golden hour on the cliffs. Some places make such an impact they just stay with you. Who knew a celebratory trip would teach me so much.

I love going out for breakfast. It’s my favourite thing to do. I’d much rather go out for bacon and eggs than I would dinner but that’s just me. Martha’s Vineyard has so many fantastic options with which to start your day! ArtCliff Diner is one of the best! Are you a fan? What do you get when you go there? I’d love to know. Non-chronological account of my roadtrip east to visit the dearest of girls...

1. Breakfast at Artcliff. So good. No wait (shock). Always appreciate a tasteful diner
2. Sausage, egg, and cheese at Waterside Market. Yum!!!! Good coffee
3. Vodka pasta w a breaded tofu situation.. it's a work in progress but still tasty
4. Turkey cranberry sandwich from Chilmark general store. Bread was dry and needed salt but sandwiches in scenic spots will always hit
5. Best cookie dough ice cream I was taken aback positively
6. Waterside again... I have my qualms. Sugar-free peach matcha was too strong although it didn't taste sf so points for that. Too much peach not enough matcha
7. Black olive heaven. Thank you Lucy thank you Rocco
8. This is where it gets really good. Cauliflower pita from Catboat was disturbingly amazing.. contemplating vegetarianism after this. Cauliflower was perfectly crispy and BAKED not fried. So fresh
9. Cardamom cappuccino also from Catboat. Love where u work, lucy
10. Beet salad in Vermont! Loved the snap peas and radish. Shared between Grace and Willa and myself which only made it better
11. Breakfast burrito (for dinner) from Carlitas. Guys. Sweet potato black bean and black pepper tofu. Thank u for the rec grace.. also life changing. Still contemplating vegetarianism

East Coast Part II (mostly food ofc): waiting at ArtCliff; my favorite ArtCliff breakfast, a codfish cake with arugula and hollandaise; Offshore potato pizza; lobster roll and oysters for lunch; Orem’s with most of the gang. 🩷

Art Cliff Diner 📍

Frequented the ArtCliff Diner several times during my trips to the Vineyard. But this time, I was most interested to visit as it had been years since it was last opened as it had been undergoing nearly 2 year remodel.

The verdict: Terrific remodeled interior work and tasty food!

The ArtCliff Diner building originated as the Captain St. Clair Brown Diner in Edgartown, before founders Art Silva and Cliff Luce moved the dining car to Beach Road in Vineyard Haven in 1943.

Gina Stanley took over as owner in the year 2000, later executing a major aforementioned historic preservation and upgrade project in 2023.

Hop off the ferry in Vineyard Haven, and drop in to the ArtCliff Diner ☕️☕️☕️

Coming for Juneteenth weekend? Here’s what’s new or different from last year.

✔️Wave Restaurant & Bar took the space formerly known as Garde East.

✔️Indigo, the Edgartown restaurant that used to be Sharky’s is now where DJ Smooth spins after Noman’s on Fridays.

✔️Inkwell Beach Club (@inkwell.beach.club) will be two floors and is replacing MV Chowder Company and the Loft.

✔️MV Chowder Company is moving to the old Red Cat Kitchen location at 14 Kennebec.

✔️Highlands General has debuted at the old Linda Jean’s.

✔️New eatery Jetty Beach House has replaced tourist magnet Lobsterville Bar & Grille.

✔️Net Result is expanding though at the time of this post has yet to reopen.

Thankfully Art Cliff is still here, is still as good, and still has the best blueberry pancakes. Because some changes I can handle, and some I cannot.
