One of my greatest collecting achievements. While 100,000+ collectors purchased Topps Project 2020 cards, I reached out to each artist and purchased their original art. Of the 400 original pieces, I bought over 100. The remainder were digital. I vowed to keep this secret for at least 5 years and one day to surprise everyone with an exhibit. That day will never come. All pieces burned in the Pacific Palisades fire. I am proud to have supported artists during Covid. I think the artists themselves were surprised to hear from me. I took great pride in being a patron of the arts. Today, these pieces are priceless. And, my heart is full. Not because I lost, but because I literally had the time of my life getting to know the artists like @jacob_rochester @arteknyc @jk5nyc and @misterctoons - you can NEVER LOSE experiences. I strongly recommend embracing people, experiences and not just things.

Live a full life.

I made this track as a cheeky bootleg late 2010 for me and my mates it was never planned to be official released, half a year later I had so much people asking for it we decided to do a very limited run of 200 vinyl copys these were sold out in not even a week and second hand prices went thru the roof.

This is the first ever repress via defected with a proper artwork by Andrew Thiele from nyc on a heavy 180 gram vinyl.

Originally released in 2010 on German label Play It Down, Oliver Dollar - Doin’ Ya Thang has been a staple on dancefloors worldwide for the last 15 years.

With an iconic vocal sample from one of house music’s biggest names (you’d also recognise it from Drake’s “Passionfruit”) this timeless track hits just right, no matter when in a set it’s played.

The cover tartwork comes courtesy of New York-based fine artist Andrew Thiele, known for his work with Louie Vega on Nervous Records. His piece pays homage to Ernie Barnes’s celebrated painting, famously featured on the cover of Marvin Gaye’s 1976 ‘I Want You’ album on Motown.

Our submission program is open to early career BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) visual artists who live and/or make work in The Bronx. The work must be interdisciplinary, community inspired/site specific. Women and gender expansive artists are encouraged to apply.
