Perimenopause doesn’t just start in your 50s. It can begin in your 40s — sometimes even your 30s — and symptoms often start years before your periods actually stop.
Average age of menopause also varies slightly across ethnicities and populations worldwide, so there’s no single “right” age to expect it. If you’re noticing changes earlier than expected, it’s still worth getting checked.

What an afternoon! 💚Today we joined Menopause Redefined at The Arc, Bedford, for a room full of honest conversations about menopause.

We covered nutrition with a coach, a calming breathwork session, the facts on supplements, and a GP’s take on HRT and menopause, all in line with British Menopause Society guidance.

Thank you to everyone who came, asked questions and shared their stories. Menopause is a stage of life, not something to just get through, and you don’t have to navigate it alone. 🌿

If you’re one of our patients and want to talk about your symptoms or treatment options, book in with us. We’re here for you. 🔗 in bio. If you are not yet our patient and want an honest & supportive menopause care 🔗 in bio to change your GP to us today. #goldingtonavenuesurgery #bedford #menopause #perimenopause #testosterone

What if menopause was the moment you stopped putting yourself last?

When you’ve spent years being the one who holds everything together, it can be hard to stop and ask what YOU need.

You’re busy looking after your family, showing up at work, remembering everything and making sure everyone else is okay.

Meanwhile, your body is changing, and you’re trying to work out what it all means alongside everything you already carry.

Today at Menopause Redefined, curated by @artemiscurated at @thearcbedford , we made space for those conversations.

I had the pleasure of speaking alongside my lovely friend @lenkapowell and @goldingtonavenuesurgery sharing their expertise.

I brought my signature Whole-Health approach to women’s wellbeing, and Lenka shared her work with breathwork and @cacaopura .

There was space to learn, breathe, connect and talk honestly about what women need through this chapter.

Because women deserve more than being told to “just get on with it”.

We deserve understanding, support and the space to take our own health seriously.

Thank you to @artemiscurated for bringing us together, and to every woman who joined us. 🤍

What’s one thing you wish more people understood about menopause?

Two beautiful spaces are coming to Bedford this October and you’re invited.

🤎 Fri 9 Oct, 6:30pm: Our FIRST Cacao Ritual

Menopause doesn’t look the same for everyone. Hot flushes get all the attention, but brain fog, joint pain, anxiety and poor sleep are just as common — and perimenopause can start years before your periods actually stop.
If something feels different, it’s worth talking to us. Already registered? Fill in SystmConnect 🔗 in bio. New to the practice? We welcome out-of-area registrations too — details via the 🔗.

Lights, camera, action 🎬

Menopause has come to the big screen with Hot Flash – a feel-good British comedy about chasing your dreams at any age, shining a light on the realities of menopause with honesty, confidence and humour.

We’re proud to be supporting @hotflash.film, alongside some incredible brands from the GenM Collective, by bringing together goodie bags filled with MTick-certified products and the GenM Menologue for the film’s premiere events. 💜

Coming to cinemas later this year, we’re excited to see Hot Flash bring menopause conversations to the big screen and help more women feel seen and represented.

We're bursting to tell you a little more about our friends @genm_official, who've partnered with us to deliver the gorgeous goodie bags that were shared at our private screening on Saturday evening.

GENM's MTick seal of approval, alongside our powerful message, are a fantastic combination. They've carefully curated some fantastic products to help with perimenopause and menopause, from beauty to libido, wellness and everyday care. Each product displaying the MTick's met strict compliance criteria, including clinical and scientific evidence that it can support one or more of the 48 recognised signs of menopause (who even knew there were that many? See, they've taught us something already!)

Visible on product packaging, the MTick makes it easier to search, source, and shop for trusted menopause-friendly products with confidence and choice. While we can't 'cure' menopause, we CAN come together to try to improve the experience for the 15.5m women and people experiencing it in the UK and 1bn globally.

We love the fact that GENM describe themselves as "helping women to live their best menopause" and we're so excited to share these products with our cast, crew, and YOU.

Thankyou @genm_official and the amazing brands who've joined us.

This week on the founder series: Miranda & Olivia from @artemiscurated
What started around a kitchen table with a lot of ideas and a shared belief in women deserving a better supplement has turned into a community of women feeling seen and starting conversations about midlife.

With both founders having full-time careers and families, they don’t always have as much time as they would like to spend on the business, but that also makes them the perfect example of how you don’t have to wait for the “perfect” moment to start building something.

Learn more about their story above! 🌸

Can we just take a moment for the attention to detail by @artemiscurated ?!

I’m a sucker for pretty packaging but I’m even more of a sucker for a great quality supplement!

Especially one that’s been designed by a supplement advisor who is as much of a geek about the why behind each of the 14 blended ingredients!

The Art Of Harmony was designed to serve women better. This formulation is one that hits all the major hormonal challenges women start to experience after 35.

It’s got B12 to boost your energy, ginseng for mental clarity, magnesium, B6 and Ashwood Ganda to rebalance hormones and reduce Cortizone all combined with complementary vitamins and nutrients in impactful quantities!

Apparently, you start to feel the benefit after two weeks, but the B12 will give me a boost from day one!

Looking forward to trying it!
