Autumn Maple leaf painting with watercolors.

I loved painting autumn leaves with watercolors because you get to add layers and the leaf actually feel like a real one.

As soon as I saw the day 10 prompt by @koosjekoene (dip pen and brush), i knew i had to participate!!
Of all the mediums that I have tried, nothing beats the FUN I get out of plain old ink and water!
I don't own a dip pen, so I used a new fountain pen for dipping and some ink from @syahico !!

My favourite ink and wash!! (Put my stilltober26 challenge on hold for this one close to heart ❤️)
And finally used my @artessentialsin notebook! Perfect for ink and wash !!

(This is my first process video, so please bear with me 🥹)

Autumn and Delhi are a thing. And whats better than a mehfil with Sufi poets who lived centuries apart like Maulana Rumi, Hazrat Amir Khusrau who always talked about the core of this season "love and letting go and trust and surrender" collaborated with other Urdu poets like Mir Taki Mir and Mirza Ghalib and contemporary Qawwals and curator who kept their essence alive.
This late September evening set the mood for October with is not just a month, but an emotion and a phase of life.
Love, Hiba
...and this part of my life is called, Autumn. 🍁✨️

Make sure to offer some gratitude to all the artists who took you in an immersive experience of their art and the curator who brought you the experience. 🏵🌹

DAY 1/30 🌷 | 30 Things We Carry

What if the things we carry around could bloom? 🌸

I’m super excited to take part in the Ink October challenge by @artloungein , and this year’s theme is “30 Things We Carry.”
But of course, I had to add a little messy twist to it! I’m turning the challenge into "A Pocketful of Flowers", a 30 sketches series where every everyday thing we carry gets paired with a little flower. 🌷

Starting with the most obvious one: my trusty tote bag. 👜🌼

Because apparently, even the things we carry need a little room to bloom.

Let’s see what else makes it into this pocketful of flowers. 🌸

Painting in a sketchbook. 🎨

This space is for experimenting, having fun and learning. No pressure on the outcome, and no pressure to complete every painting.

One thing I know for sure—when you flip through the pages of a sketchbook, somehow, it all turns out to be good. Some pages teach you something, some hold beautiful memories, and some are simply there because you had fun making them.

All in all, it’s just a really good space to have. 🤍
