new mural by artist Ashley Hodder (@ashleyhodderart) at Bed-Stuy Walls, depicting the legendary rapper, singer and actress Queen Latifah (Oct 2026)

The artist has created scores of large-scale murals (particularly in her hometown of Pittsburgh), and is recognized for the exquisite detail in her works - expand the closeup photo to see the intricate pointillism!

This year’s Bed-Stuy Walls Mural Festival celebrated the huge contributions of women to the arts. All of the murals were painted by women, and this work in particular recognizes one of today’s leading musical artists.

I wanted to highlight my homie Luis VexOne Rosas from San Jo (San Jose,CA) @vexshotme . Vex has come to Bedstuy Walls 2 yrs in a row with the @1culture_ family. When he shoots us he always gets the best of us. Here are some photos he took in 2025 and 2026.

Thank you Vex!

Born & raised in San Jose, Vex captures the culture of the city and the people who give it life. Through his lens, he documents the stories, pride, resilience, and everyday moments that define our community. His work reflects the heart of San Jose’s authentic, powerful, and rooted in culture.
